Been watching the original trilogy to hype myself up for this, and it's been so long since I've seen them. Man, Carrie Fisher was so fucking hot back in the day. The entire cast was hot.

Damn that Kylo Ren poster, without the text on the bottom right, that would totally be my new mobile wall.

I also love how Boyega implies order, with the calming blue color from the sword, and the swords laser being smooth and even.

Kylo implies chaos, red color, and that uneven, jolty sword laser with the sparks.

And in between is Rey, without any color but the bland grey of her staff, supports that "neutral" feeling for her.

The eye thing? Is it really a 'gimmick'? It's a poster series, so it makes sense to have something in common. I hate when people use the word gimmick when they just mean 'that thing I don't like'


EDIT: THANK MIDICHLORIANS that the fucking 'hilt' doesnt show up in kylo ren's poster. I don't hate it so much as they just shove it in front of your face every time he's appeared so far like 'HEY GUYS THIS IS COOL RIGHT?' Now THAT's a gimmick.

In marketing language, a gimmick is a unique or quirky special feature that makes something "stand out" from its contemporaries. However, the special feature is typically thought to be of little relevance or use.

Hilt is not a gimmick, but this pose is a gimmick they use to obscure half of their faces. It's cool once.
