I haven't been able to play yet, but I was checking the settings earlier and noticed a setting to enable companion app connectivity. Did you make sure to turn that on?

It takes a solid minute for it to open. Are you waiting long enough?
Really not a big fan of the game just forces you to abandon VATS, abandon stealth/sniper tactics by having 15 fast enemies bum rush you all the time. I much prefer the sections of the game where you actually fight other enemies in gun fights.
Suddenly fighting raiders who refuse to take any damage even through multiple sniper shots to the face. Any suggestions how I kill this "raider survivalist" guy who is basically a walking tank?
Where can I find a doctor early game? I am very irradiated.
You'll need scrapper to get reasonable amounts of screws for crafting.
I think that's the point.
Should I max these out or stop at a certain point?I'd argue the Local Leader perk in Charsima is pretty essential. Lets you establish supply lines between settlements so you have a big pool of materials.
Might be worth ignoring if you hate crafting and base building.
There's also Gun Nut, Science and Armorer that are needed for crafting some upgrades.

The worst part of the conversation system is that you can't re engage the NPC and revisit past conversations. The interface is annoying as crap too, although this is my first PC fallout so I don't know if it's par for the course.

I was really surprised to learn the game includes FO3's soundtrack. Done for a purpose I imagine...
Might be a legendary enemy or you wandered too far off the beaten path. Does he have a skull by his name?
Several hours into the game so far, enjoying it so far. Spent hours on the base building stuff. Am mixed on the dialogue though, much fewer roleplaying optionsAnyone know if you can change your face later on like when you visit the plastic surgeon in Rivet City? Want to give my gal some badass looking scars.

Yea turned it on and rebooted the game like your supposed to. Windows firewall popup appears when you do, gave game full access
Stupid question: Which button do I press on PC to cycle between available units in base building menu?
The ui/controls are the worst in the series.
This changes everything.Shift+WASD or arrow keys. Also Enter = E, which helps IMMENSELY.
Haven't gone far yet but im curious, do ghouls till run at you?

Feral ghouls are super cool now, they run and trip and lunge and stuff. Actually, all the enemy behaviors are pretty hugely improved. Pretty cool to see people using cover and stuff. It's nowhere near the level of dedicated shooters, but it's a massive step up for Bethesda games.
Settlement stuff will be the death of me, God damn OCD.
I can't leave Sanctuary until every table and chair are straightened up, couches are in the right spots....ughhh..
This game seems less forgiving on exploring than FO3 was. It seems anywhere I go there are enemies with skull icons indicating they're multiple levels above me. I got tired of dying so I decided to go do the 2nd story mission and I ran into a Mr. Gusty who literally killed me before I could even react.
