One of the things kinda looked like a car, but another looked like a little helicopter pod thing. Very strange
10 Hours In:
Finally found some framedrops, nothing crazy though.
Game is even more engaging than 5 hours ago. It's hard to complete quests because I'm constantly getting sidetracked... that probably won't last of course but for now it's giving me the itch to play and play and play.
Mostly though, fuck Dogmeat. Fuuuuuuck Dogmeat. Stay the fuck out of my way you stupid dog.

Remote play is great. I love when Devs actually give a shit about re-arranging the controls for Remote Play.

If you already opened the doors however, there's nothing else you can do with it. There's 2 terminals connecting to the same door, so it's possible you found the other terminal? They both have the same text/function.
Throw yourself off a building?

Yeah, that was what made me notice it as I was outside in the middle of a sunny day.
I got stuck like that for about a minute before I somehow got out.

I hope Bethesda keeps expanding the settlement stuff so that this game eventually becomes Fallout: Skylines. And throw some Civilization n there too and start letting me set up research plants and wage wars.

I did try grenades, missile launcher, fatman nothing works full health everytime.

I'm considering biting the bullet and picking this game up. I've never really been interested in the Fallout series but I'm from Boston and all the hype got me playing Fallout 3. Honestly, I'm enjoying it a lot more than I expected, coming from somebody who doesn't usually enjoy post apocalyptic type games. That being said F3 still feels pretty dated to me even with mods. I think it's because I've dumped so many hours into Skyrim, F3 feels like Oblivion is to Skyrim.
So, worth picking up at its full price right now or should I stick with F3 and maybe wait for a sale? I feel like the discount isn't gonna be anything huge by the thanksgiving or winter steam sale. Even though I am still into F3 I'm only considering it now because I feel like Boston will connect with me a lot more than the DC area.

Question about the idiot savant perk - I'm trying something where I'm quick saving before turning a quest in. The thinking being assuming idiot savant is a dice roll action, I can manipulate the rng to get bonus xp -but I don't know if that's how this works. My testing hasn't triggered the perk yet l, so I'm likely doing something wrong

I'm about to pick this up in a few. So what's the impressions so far on the Xbox one version? Digital foundry videos got me alittle hesitant. But it's Xbox one or nothing for me as of now till I get a decent gaming pc.

This is good to hear. Found a scarf and goggles for dogmeat last night, he looks and acts ridiculous but I want to keep him around for as long as I can.
There's actual dog armor as well!
Discounts probably won't be too impressive for a while. It was the same with Skyrim. I highly recommend, at least on PC.

If it's similar to the PS4 version (and reports are it's about equal) then it's the best launch state for a Bethesda game I've ever experienced, despite its problems. People saying "nothing's changed/improved" are - simply - talking shit.
If you played any Bethesda game on 360 then Fallout 4 is currently in a better state than them. I'm having a great time with it.

You don't have to scrap the items the resources come from. Theyll be automatically scrapped at work benches etc. For example if you need screws, you don't have to dismantle a desk fan first, when you go to make your gun mod it will auto-scrap and use the screws from the desk fan.

Seems like you got the elevator bug... did you install the Day One patch? It should have fixed this.
I've read / heard too many stories about him disappearing forever so I'm not sure I can trust him holding my shit anymore...
