Sik do the Montage clips have to be super sick? I haven't played enough to get game play I'm proud of. Just dumb things like Spartan charging a guy as he's assassinating my teammate etc or other dumb, not really skillfull stuff.
 
Just came naturally, was always competent with 4 but during the beta I was forced to go 7 and couldn't go back even when it ended. Once Halo 5 arrived I noticed 7 wasn't enough to keep up so I switched to 10.

It's all about practice and getting used to higher sensitivities the more you stick with them

For what it's worth, in the Halo 2 and 3 days almost all pros played on sensitivities between 3 and 6, with a few using 2 or 7. I don't know if that's shifted a bit in Halo 5. Higher sensitivity doesn't mean more skilled, and that tradeoff between accuracy and reaction time will always be there.
 
Love how in SWAT there is no wait time to respawn. Just get right back into the action.
Eh, me not so much. It make's spawn killing a more common occurrence.

I used a look sensitivity of 7 on all of the game's including the Halo 5 Beta. I had to drop it down to 4 or 5 because of the wonky aiming in the final product and even then the deadzone messes me up while sniping.
 
nice speedy with my connection and lag the best I can typically do even if i see first and shoot first (if the team is good) I can typically only get a mutual kill on the other player at best.

That's sad, see first, shoot first, perfect out a double ko lol.

But, since I am in asia things just can't go that well over some of the distances. Most other asian countries are probably hitting connections better than me since I'm not in japan or HK

This makes aiming way harder than it should be too and I have had to hit a guy three times to kill him.
 
Love how in SWAT there is no wait time to respawn. Just get right back into the action.

It's good, except when there's spawn kills. Seems to be a bigger problem with forge maps. Orion it was terrible. Pegasus isn't nearly as bad, but is noticably worse than the non-forge maps. Had one incident tonight where I shot someone, aimed upwards, he spawned and I got a double kill off the same dude.

I'd rather they keep it and try to fix the spawn kills than drop instant spawns. I think they're so close to getting it right, it'd be a shame to see them drop instant respawns at this point.
 
I'm going to say this: Beyond all the negatives I've said about this game today and all the ways it frustrates me, I love the boltshot. No one ever picks it up, and today on both regret and fathom after I got killing sprees with it, the enemy team started picking it up to kill us with it. It didn't work, but just that that took place made me smile.
 
Just had one of my closest and best arena slayer matches ever. My team won 50-49 on truth and I got 14 kills also.My K/D was also positive in that match. Also does anyone have any tips to be less inconsistent because I seem to die a lot sometimes and not get many kills. .
 
So NOONE had any server issues last night?

Started the game and it told me i couldn't access the multiplayer and i got resetted back to default state...So not cool

Any idea what caused this?
 
I was at the time specifically thinking of the smg which has a crazy fast kill time. I understand not being good at the game. I have never been overtly good at a halo game at launch. You have to acclimate and learn new systems etc. my problem with H5 is that I feel like it is actively working against me with things like the aim acceleration (at least they're addressing it) and the terrible spawns and map design. Halo 5 is also especially terrible and letting me know how I died. Hell, the kill feed will often times just say X killed X. No cause of death, just, you're dead, because. Then you can't turn the camera after death often times. The game is, in my opinion not allowing me to get better due to poorly designed pieces and inconsistent feedback it gives the player.

I've spoken to many people. Some are more sensitive to these things than others. Some don't notice, and for others it's a red thumb that can't be ignored.

I get all that. But the SMG is positioned as a tier 2 weapon instead of a loadout weapon. So to make obtaining it and using it of strategic importance, it has a higher rate of fire than previous iterations.

As far as not being able turn the camera, that harkens back to halo of old. It's not a new thing. The idea is that you need to communicate to figure out where enemies are located instead of the game giving you all the information. After the match, you can access the entire battle, from any angle in theater. You can't ask for better feedback than that. But to have the game essentially spell out enemy tactics in the middle of the match doesn't make you better, it handicaps you.

Halo 5 has a lot more systems at play than any other Halo, so the learning curve is steeper no doubt. I guess that's a turn off for some.
 
I am so done with this bullshit. I can't deal with the fact that I am constantly having to fight with this egregious aim acceleration that still hasn't been fixed for whatever reason.

Then add on the ridiculous connection advantage. Meaning as a European you can expect to dump another 3 BR bursts after somebody's shield has dropped, meanwhile you can enjoy getting one shotted at a quarter of your shield.

Then there's the wondrous concept of Shitzone. Where the winning team spends on REQs while the losing team doesn't bother. 90% of the time it's a one sided shit show of a stomp.

Aiming feels.. Off. It's as if there is a delay between me pushing my thumbstick and the visor moving. Like an input lag. This really sucks because it makes the game feel like a 30fps game. I played advanced Warfare for a couple of seconds and that felt file. I never needed to adjust my looking sensitive before in a halo game ( default always), but I had to ramp it up now. It feels like the first few millimeters of my thumbstick is less sensitive. Not a dead zone, more like a less sensitive zone. Is it me or the game?

try a different controller if you can

Yes this has been in discussion since a week ago, vertical sensitivity is low plus the horizontal axis has a terrible acceleration curve. 343 acknowledges the issue and will tune it in an upcoming update, currently there is a bandaid fix by swapping left and right stick in the Xbox One system accessory app and then switch stick to southpaw in game, this eliminate the issue partially.

I can't tell if the issue you speak of is the same thing everyone else complains about... I personally can't replicate the diagonal movement issue...

And the horizontal acceleration is starting to work well for me now, because when I want, I can turn quickly or make fine aim adjustments in an instant. Took quite a while to click though.

Same here. I can't lately land a kill no matter what I use in WZ.
Even tickets does not help.

I could see that his shield was recharging, I've emptied the whole DMR clip in his head, NO effect. He just turns around and kills me.

Am not good at making threads, Could anyone make a thread about it? It's really frustrating.

I think he's being sarcastic. 343 are already reading this thread, I don't think a new one is necessary. FWIW I've not had any problems like what you are describing during 20 hours or so of playing (UK) so hopefully it's something that can be fixed.

The aim acceleration is whack though, it's terrible.

It has the BR sight, how does the DMR feel with that?

Regular vanilla DMR is req 6 if you ever find one.

Aiming issue fix is part of the November update btw

Warzone is great but if you base fun on winning and winning alone, then well, you're going to have a bad time.

IDK... i'm US East right near NY and Philly and on a stellar connection but i've seen some crazy laggy games. Those are far and few between though. Majority of games have been awesome.
 
Warzone Wednesday was a success. Thanks Schooly D for organizing. Once you left to go get food we fell apart, but at least we fell apart in style with our kitty emblems.

I haven't had any problems but then I'm not sensitive enough to lag to mind playing on US East servers sometimes. It think hits might register client-side since I've had games where I notice some lag when throwing grenades but still can 5-shot people with the magnum just fine? I'm not sure what the details of the lag-compensation are but it feels way better than 3/Reach at least for me.

Best solution would be to allow server selection.

And the BR with Forerunner attachment probably does more damage to vehicles and thus is still a better option. I guess unless you're swapping your AR with a DMR, I don't see a reason to ever worry about something beyond a BR, especially since almost all the REQ variants will pop up before it.

I'm in NYC and can't remember a single laggy match of Halo.

Call of Duty on the other hand is a piece of shit when it comes to match lag. Those dedis make a massive difference.
 
I've had games where my grenades come out a second after I throw them and I'm on the East coast. I've been matched against people from AU and NZ too and the game hasn't lagged at all, so I dunno.

I think some of you suffer from immediate rage posting after a game, heh. A couple of you have "quit" or "selling the game" 2-3 times now. ;P

Yep, and when CoD lags its even worse than when Halo lags because the ttk is so much lower and it is pretty much whoever sees who first.
