Am I misunderstanding the point of supply lines or are they broken for me? Workshop inventories aren't being shared between the camps that I've set up supply lines with.

Also, holy shit at (location spoiler)
General Atomics Galleria
, is there any way (enemy in this location spoiler)
to kill The Director?
Cant seem to find a way.

I think there's an office in the back of the bowling alley with a terminal tells you how to shut down the Director. Haven't tried it myself because there's no reason to for me.

Kinda cant get over all of the negative reviews on metacritic and steam.

It would be one thing if it was well articulated criticism, but it's mostly everyone making the same fucking tired jokes like "Bethesda. Bethesda never changes". Yea.. why would you think you were the first one to say that. Why would you say that. Or making some joke about Tom Howard, or insulting people who like the game. And people saying the game isn't even an RPG anymore are absurd. Whatever, glad I'm able to enjoy it.

Because they're idiots. Apparently it's cool to hate Bethesda nowadays, even here on GAF but at least a portion of it is constructive (not all though).

I've played countless hours of Bethesda games since Oblivion. Morrowind being the only one I haven't played and I can definitely see FO 4 being my favourite of all them all. It's amazing. If it gets hate, I don't really care at this point. It doesn't affect my judgement of the game and it's shaping up to be my GOTY or at least equal with The Witcher 3. I love them both for different reasons.

Is there any sort of flashlight when not in armor? It is insanely dark out there at night.

Yep, holding tab will turn on a flashlight. Or holding some other button if you're not on PC.

Question, if a shopkeeper has something you want, but you don't want to pay for it, it it always possible to obtain these items other ways. I was talking to a merchant in the world, he had something I wanted, so I shot him. The loot wasn't on his body, so I figured I could perhaps find a safe containing his wares somewhere, but I couldn't find it. So the questing is, is the sometimes the only way to get something interesting from a shopkeeper buying it from them. If so, that's disappointing, there should always be alternative methods.

Can anyone help me: I have a bunch of weapon mods in my inventory, is it possible to attach them to my weapons without paying for them again?

So the green bar on the far right is just a kind of bar to show all of it together?

No, that's a meter showing how much more you can build. There are limits to how many items you can place in each settlement. When that meter is full, you can't build any more.

It's a pretty common meter and appears in other games that let you build like LittleBigPlanet or Project Spark.

Had my first real encounter with a deathclaw earlier. That was intense. My heart was actually pounding. That hasn't been caused by a game in forever.

Spent some time in a vault that was good stuff. A little disappointed that there really only appears to be one way to do a quest. On the positive side, Bethesda writing has gotten a lot better. It's pretty limited in scope but it's better than it was.

After a bit of a rough start, I'm loving the hell out of this game. It'll likely top the Witcher 3 as my game of the year.

can anyone tell me where to get the power armor in concord?

Do the quest, after killing the raiders enter the clocktower and make your way through.
Guy at the top with the cowboy hat will want you to get the battery on the bottom floor, armors on the roof.

Weapon and armor mods make a huge difference. I focused on getting those perks quickly.

I should have done that!

Weird.. i would not think you are doing something wrong. What about your armor? you have some good armor equipped? do you have a good % of accuracy? what perks do you use?

My armor is composed basically of BOS, DC Guards and Metal pieces, I'm pretty sure is nothing special but not that bad either. My accuracy is alright, not so good but decent enough sicne I'm quite used to play fps games.

I believe I just totally wasted my perks build though. When I started playing my intention was "I'll just make some tests, than I restart the game and do a proper build: by now, I'll let every SPECIAL with 4 points". After that I never restarted the game though, and after every level up I chose totally arbitrarily my perks:
SPECIAL started with 4 in each.
Charisma is now at 6
Intelligence is now at 6
Toughness = 2
Iron fist, pickpocker, fortune finder, gun nut, scrapper = 1 (don't ask me why I did that, cause I honestly don't know, I just chose them cause I "wanted to try" I guess lol)
Local Leader = 2

I should have focused on better stats first, and tried those different perks much later in the game. I did not want to think about a build before start though...
I may just look for a proper build guide and follow it, am not in the mood of spend time creating one myself.

I should have done that!

Yeah I think it's better to get some the basic perks first. I started with some of the higher Luck perks first, and while they are really good, they do need a little backup.

The size? i guess its the size of the settlement and how full it is.

Ah, right thank you. :)
Not really played those games so it would've been nice for the gamer to explain but no worries!

The Weapons Workbench from Sanctuary has disappeared. I really don't remember scrapping it.

Question: Are there any other settlements with Weapons Workbenchs? I need Local Leader Rank 2 to build another, and I have low charisma, so it's unlikely I'll ever be able to make another one.

I guess i am no master of the settlement. But you can clearly build walls and walls with doors to build rooms. As seen on the video. Maybe that will help.

I didn't mean that as a slight. Just didn't think people would read my reply to you without an eye grabber. My ocd needs everyone to have a room, even if the game won't let me assign them out. It's really been bugging me.

In any case, what he did in the video was what I didn't want to do. You should just be able to snap a door into the wall.

That would be nice. You are talking like Sims level of edits. Where you can create a door in any wall without selecting a door preset. I don't think thats available. =\

Only preset walls.

I finally managed how to upload a video and get images off a PS4, damn i had the thing for a year and only now i get around to it.

This game can be quite beautiful sometimes. The weather system is so good.

This is the first hobo shack i made, pretty ugly but it gets the job done. My OCD almost got the best of me because floors don't auto snap to the house corners, pretty big oversight i think.

Also i was helping the BOS dude and this happened after the fight, i didn't even fight over there, pretty cool regardless.

This game is awesome... I put a perk into Gun Nut (finally) and crafted some pretty sick weapons out of the crap you find at the beginning of the game... I'm only level 12, just got to Diamond City and I've played something like 15 hours.

So much to do and the story/setting is great, I think. I'm playing on hard and I get thrashed in certain spots... (those crab things are brutal for me). I've killed a few Legendary enemies but have only picked up melee weapons off them (I'm more of a rifleman), so that's kind of lame.

No real issues, though. So far, it's exactly what I was expecting.

I'd be fine with just preset walls if every wall wasn't meant for the outside. I just want a flat wall, with a door opening, that can snap to other walls.

Explored some bunker and got surprised by a Deathclaw. That fucker killed me a bunch of times until I send him to Valhalla with the use of mines and grenades.
Fun stuff and one of the really positive things for me (the fact that "normal" Fallout enemies are frightening and feel dangerous again)

Don't forget that you can build on top of the building! I made a sweet staircase up and now I have a huge complex up there.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the pathfinding for the NPCs, at least compared to Skyrim.

The issue is that I was considering this but:

A: I don't think NPC's recognize shit like this. I put some hallways with doors to close off the main building on the outside, and they only enter the area through the open garage door. Do they recognize their room is above this and go up the ladder?

B: Did you find a ladder/stair case big enough to reach the roof? All of the ones I found were too short.

Tenpenny towers is expanding, now in a fantastic location. Scenic view of the greater Boston area from your private penthouse apartment!

The building of settlements is sucking up so much of my time! :)

So I -FINALLY- got the game, thought before I boot it up I'd ask your guys opinion on if the following is a good starting point.

Strength: 4
Perception: 4
Endurance: 2
Charisma: 5
Intelligence: 7
Agility: 5
Luck: 1

Think I'll be ok and not run into issues, or have I not gone high enough in something for the beginning?
(Not sure how stats effect stuff besides unlocking the ability to get perks.)

Where do you guys find all the steel to build all that stuff? I know a bunch of items have them but are there any places like Corvega that have a shit ton of steel stuff or are there shipments you can buy?

And holy fucking shit, I want this.

A little off topic, but I am working from home tonight and we are slow. Loaded up the Xbox One Streaming to my PC, and am currently enjoying the wasteland.

Spoilers regarding factions and late game.

So you have to choose between the Institute and the Steel of Brotherhood? Does choosing one completely lock out missions for the other faction and therefore the trophies?
