Welp, it's literally impossible to avoid ending spoiler for this game when the youtube trolls just change their name to a spoiler. Is there even point of playing this game knowing what happens?
At the end of life you die. Is there even a point in living if I know what happens?

Seriously though, as always, it doesn't matter. And honestly anyone could see the ending coming from ten miles away, it's not like your face was going to melt off with shock at the twist unless this was the first piece of fiction you've ever encountered.

When you obtain a magazine, do the effects apply immediately? Like you don't have to read them or do anything in particular as you did in Fallout 3?

Unlock the framerate via setting iPresentInterval to zero in the ini files. Like upwards as vertically as you can, and the. RUN. You will run twice as fast because looking upwards renders less stuff hence you get increased fps.

Good luck picking locks.

And yeah; the animations are really buggy above 60fps. My weapon became invisible when I went outdoors, and sometimes it it stuck at the "put your weapon away" animation (not holstering)--I encountered a third person animation glitch as well.

So far, I really like game; I will play at a slower pace to wait for patches and mods. DogeMeat is helpful so far; I don't like the commands interface and mechanics though for him though. The dialogue wheel is shit--the writing is to be specific. Even though they improved animations and dialogue camera tremendously, they messed up some parts of the writing. That aside, the game's pace is bad, and the story could have been executed more properly to fit the setting and pace.

More importantly, how is survival difficulty? I am relying on DogeMeat crowd control and proper cover usage. I invested in agility or perception? I don't remember but I wanted AP points and perks; it is bad so far because it needs some accuracy/perks to complement it. I set CHR and luck to 1, and STR to 4; I want to focus on guns, V.A.T.s and have good lock pick skills.

Having a blast, but I've hit a roadblock due to crappy weapons. Time to explore the wasteland for a real rife and sniping weapon.

...so how do you throw a grenade?

Like, I equipped it to my favs, and I can't do anything with it. Xbox one

equip it with the d-pad and then hold down RB (I assume, I'm on PS4) until you hear a clicking noise and when you release you'll toss it.

I feel like grenades don't feel as good as they should, so I mostly use molotovs

edit: beaten

So disappointing that badass sets like the caged armor suck compared to the piecemeal leather/metal shit you layer on top of your jumpsuit.

Getting really, REALLY fucking sick of terminal-locked doors breaking and becoming impossible to open. Terminals in general seem like a glitchy mess because they often force you to wait for them to disengage locks or else they'll be permanently stuck in a loop.

What is your FPS on PC? If it is above 60 FPS I believe that causes the terminal issue. In general going above 60 FPS on Bethesda games causes weird things to happen, Skyrim is crazy broken above 60 FPS. Fallout 4 isn't as bad but there are reported issues.

I've made two files with different gender characters with different stats. Today I spent time with Furiosa (Cause I'm not creative) with meele focus and agility who now has a 2 dogs following her. Trying to make it a harem. Minor spoiler for obtaining more dogs:
One was an injured dog I stumbled upon during a quest. The injured dog was being attacked by other wild dogs. I named her Mutt. Another was a person selling a junkyard dog. You need medium to high charisma and 250 caps.
I'll be like that wild dog lady in NV soon, :)

Ha slight oversight from changing my strength in the Console for more carry weight is my melee hits basically one hit everything. Not something I do often since I'm more or less strictly a sniper but funny when the odd raider comes up and his head/body explodes from the tap of my gun.

player.modav carryweight + or - x

It's a life saver, I dunno how people play bethesda games without the console to fix everything.

Yup in Skyrim if you go above 60 items that impart physics will go flying when you enter the cell. Best to set a ceiling of 60.

This is the fourth time the Kidnapping at Sanctuary Hills quest has triggered. Screw this, I'll just let them die and then resurrect with the console when the raiders dump their bodies at the settlement.

Soooo (main quest spoilers!!!)
I just reached the institute. How much of the main quest do I have left?

All but done. You simply have to
pick a faction and do their questline, some are fast, some are long, but you're in the last "phase"

So now is a good point to save to stop quest lockouts.

Is it me or is there a lack of armor variety in this game? I know there are outfits but they never protects as much as piecewise gear for me. Have basically worn a leather armor and then a commando armor.

Edit: I'm lvl 38 by the way.

Wait what>?
I joined brotherhood before i even got diamond city.
am i screwed?

No. If you want the details, I'll refrain from the actual story minus the fact here, which <is> a spoiler for father in the faction I guess, but is useful to know.
You cannot finish a factions story without killing off a different two, meaning you cannot finish every faction without two playthroughs no matter what you do.
So really, when the quest to do that pops up is your first lockout, and you'll know when you got it, there'll be a bunch of popups. For the second step, it actually gives you a point of no return menu JRPG style.

Really not likely the weapon and armor system in the game. I know you're suppose to have more control over how a weapon or armor turns out but it's more of a pain then anything. You have to invest in the different tiers to do anything useful and even then if you don't have the ingredients it's useless. It's not like enemies are dropping things that might be useful either. It's generally just been crap on the armor side. For weapons I see a LOT of weapon drops but no where near enough ammo for these weapons. I can kill 10 raiders, all drop weapons and their poor armor and collectively I might come away from that with 20 pieces of ammo and maybe I can use half to 2/3 of it. I don't expect or think ammo should be under every bush but it's ridiculous at the moment.

Really prefer how Fallout 3 and New Vegas did it at this point.

Soulflarz, I'm not going to read that spoiler, but thank you for the answer!

I'll ask a question then about "quest lock outs",
are you suggesting that I should try and finish the quest lines with the Brotherhood of Steel, Minutemen, and Railroad before progressing with the main quest? Also, did I make a mistake by joining all three?

Beth have done a great job with this, apart from the nights being very bright, very little to fault so far, at least non technical. Im playing on PS4, and its by far the most stable FO/ES game i've played on console, so far anyway, just under 10 hours in.

No, what I'm saying is that
the game physically will not let you progress past a certain point in more than one, and after that one other is available anyways.

Thats now just at a gameplay level, nothing plot mentioned in there.

Donate items, sorry. This is specifically for Curie.

Interesting, will look into this since I only use her >_>

So its all about the
final quest and weighing the rewards? I can run both their missions ill just be asked to take sides in the final one? Say if do all but the last brotherhood mission, then switch to its opposing faction and do all their missions but the last. then can i go back to brotherhood and destroy the faction i was in 5 mins ago?

Like as in
I have to pick if I wanna do quests with the railroad OR brotherhood? Can't do both since they have opposite ideals?

Got a double barrel shotty that does X2 damage to Super Mutants. Modded the damage up some more and oh man.... Took out the ones on the Tower next to no prob.
