I have like 1k .45 cal bullets but no good guns to use with them :/

Change your sniper rifle to use them, its higher dmg than the usual 308 (or 38 whatever they use). Unless you dont have the perk for that mod.

In which case /points /laughs

This made me laugh. Did you still have the power core in or can they steal parts anyway!?

no the power core was left in the power armor's skeleton. Apparently he only wanted the satisfaction of making me doubt everybody in my crew.

I noticed something strange when he had a different outfit on than the one I gave him, good thing I checked for the heck of it. A man who has lied his whole life felt like doing so again,

this is getting fucking ridiculous. Now somebody has gone to my comic book rack where I kept all of them neatly stacked and decided that fuck you I'm going to leave a bunch on the floor instead of putting them back up.

Bethesda the fuck is with this AI. Deacon i swear to god don't touch my graphic novels.

As far as I know, they do. Remove the power core and it will still work. Power armor will break when companions use them, so you will have to repair it.

You meant they do not use the Fusion Core?

NPCs fucking up my stuff in my house is primarily the reason why I chose the furthermost lot available in Sanctuary to build my house, hahaha.

Either I'm going crazy or one of my asshole settlers somehow stole the power armor from the Meseum. Had it stored at the racks in Sanctuary, found another skeleton on my travels and didn't want it to just sit there next to the other one so took it to the top of the tower I built..A couple of days later I'm going to the armor bench.."Where's my power armor?"..gone completely..Didn't leave a Core in there either as I have 4 in my inventory (15% left from museum, 95% from moving the 2nd suit I found, 2x100% unused).

Holy shit you have someone who's purpose it is to mess with your room. Did you not pay a maid or something? lol

Sorry.

I've been running a bunch of side quests for hours on end and totally forgot what to do in one of the story missions could someone briefly explain
the institutes aim and why I should/ shouldn't side with them or inform the brotherhood

Lol

Do the quatermaster quests go on forever?

Seems so :/

Why do you want the BOS umiform so much?

Because everything else sucks looks wise for under armor and I'm tired of using road leathers. I wanted the black officer one more. But that fucker never leaves the bar/social area.

I used what I learned here over the AI to go ahead and steal the body parts of a nearby power armor because I didn't want to
take the one given to me
, and also didn't want to pay for the individual parts. Waited for the perfect moment where I was hidden and SHAZAM.

Now the AI is left wondering who killed a guard, and why that power armor on the right is just the frame.

Does it have stats? Otherwise its military fatigues 4 life

Military fatigues theoretically are better for me because I think they give you like 2 agility which would be great to help me with stealth.

BOS uniform has 1 defense and 5 radiation and energy resistance. I'd rather take the agility but just like I played Dark Souls as Fashion Souls I play this as Fashionout 4

Im too tired for this

What do they want me to fucking build at the castle to get the radio transmitter to work?

My character says "once i power this up.." So i built a generator and attached a wire. Yet the workshop wants me to "build something that requires power". Motherfucker the radio is already there

It needs 10 power, one large gen only generates 5 power so make two of em. I just got done with that segment.

About assigning settlers to farming.

Is there a limit to how many each settler is assigned to?

Do I have to assign a settler to each individual plant?
No. Assigning a settler assigns them to all objects of the same type

Example: Assigning a settler to a type of food (i.e., razor grain) means all food (melons, gourds, etc.) will be tended by that settler.

Example: Assigning one settler to a guard post will cover all/future guard posts

At what level do I start getting a gun that isn't a peashooter? And how do I get ammo? I have like 1000 bullets for the shittiest guns I have and about 5 bullets for everything else with no obvious means to get more.

Is this game good? I'm struggling to understand the hype right now. About 8 hours in... please tell me it gets better.

Realistic! You should see the local bookstore here, it is exactly like that most of the time lol.

So one of the loading screen tips mentions that there was a giant creature from the sea that laid waste to the Minutemens headquarters, "The Castle".

.....Do you fight this creature?

Also there's a weird glitch. If you die to say, a mine, and it goes into the autoload process, the next time you go to that area the mine won't be there anymore..

Yes and its lame

Yo for a stealth player the companions are soooo garbage. The AI is downright terrible. Always giving up your position and going in head in. But you need them to for basically a mobile storage cause stealth players don't have a lot of strength to carry loot. So far i got the 2 floating robot and dogmeat and they are both super mega trash for stealth player IMO. Are human companions any better or they just charge in too?

What location is this and must i be on the BoS questline to get it now?

I'll put it under spoilers just in case not everyone wants to know the location and requirement to get here:

1. This is the BoS airship/ aka their main base.

2. You need to at least get to the point in the main story where the airship of BoS is seen. You can't miss it. And also you need to have done everything important for the BoS team on the police station. Keep in mind that the two lackeys will keep giving you neverending missions so you don't have to worry about those.

Is the whole "build settlements and communities" thing necessary or is it just a time sink?

I did do the quests in Sanctuary because of the easy XP, but I'm not sure I want to build fences, turrets etc. in all of the settlements.. :-)

I haven't beaten the game but there seems to be zero actual point in building shit aside from trophies/achievements/whatever

Another question.
Does getting to this point lock out other faction quests?
Or can i safely get to this place and not have locked anything out?
Im not ready to commit to anything yet but that armor looks nice.

It's a bonus timesink you can do. It can potentially earn you revenue and provide scrap(And things to do) if you build the right things, but you can skip it if you want.

What does this waypoint/icon mean? I go there and there's nothing to be seen.

It just looks like a hollowed out version of the normal waypoint.

That's a custom waypoint. Click on any blank spot in the map(not a destination) and you'll get a little menu to remove/move it.

Are you sure ? Because when I highlight a settler all the food he is assigned to glows blue and the stuff he isn't stays unlit. This is the same for guard posts and the likes , whatever he has been assigned to gets highlighted in the UI

I'm a stealth player but I'm also melee so while I didn't put a BUTTLOAD of points into strength I can carry 250 naturally. it sucks but it's also nice to have to really think what's worth taking and what's worth leaving after each new mission run. As to the AI agreed. The biggest use I have for them is to distract the enemy while I sneak behind them for sneak damage (Assuming they don't see me in the firefight). The issue is that I'm double fucked as a melee stealth build because so many encounters are almost unavoidable head on confrontations or if one dude sees you like twenty jump on you. Ghouls are a good example. If I don't have my companion with me they'd tear me apart if they saw me.

A suggestion for you: next time you want to stealth an area tell your companion to wait like crouching before you enter the room or hiding somewhere in the area. That way they won't alert the enemies. I cleared out a whole vault I was underleveled for because after trying 5 times with my companion like alerting every high level enemy, I left her behind and took them out 1 by 1 with stealth.

I'm an idiot thanks.
