I LOVE that foggy weather by the way.

It can get a bit much.

I feel like an idiot, but where do structures go for the settlement that I have built but haven't placed. For example I built a generator, but then built a recruitment beacon and didn't place either, but now I can't figure out how to access them.

I haven't had a single crash on PC, when I add mods there will be plenty of CTD off the Bethesda logo.

Only reason a CTD off the intro happens is when you don't install dependencies, it's relatively easy to avoid if you use a mod manager.

That reminds me, how do you access the shit you store instead of scrapping?

I could've sworn it just gets broken back down to original parts since I could never find them in the workshop.

I'm not sure if you can access them, but if you choose the structure in building mode any stored structure will be used, instead of making a new one.

Yes! I just got it today from amazon. Hardcover, comes with a full colored map and some collectible stuff. Not to mention access to online materials and an eguide.

Just perusing the guide on things I've already done I've missed so much.

Cool, thanks for the impression.

I have the hardback version. It's quite charming, and the writers have a good sense of humor, especially with a lot of the Vault Boy's Tips. I haven't delved into it too much, as I was trying not to spoil myself on quests too much. It seems fairly extensive, especially in regards to both weapons, armor and enemies. I'd recommend it, if guides are your thing!

Thanks! I think I will get it because it does look cool.

The next time you build the object it'll just pull one out of storage instead of using your materials. There's a little number next to an object's icon to show how many you have in storage.

So uh there's a legendary crab that spawns in
University point

When you can one shot a deathclaw, a sentry and even give a legendary deathclaw a fight but the crab not only withstands your attack but also mutates and 1 hit KO's you, I think the game is trying to tell you to not fight it right now until you're a couple of levels higher.

I'm sure I'm super late to the party on this but is the framerate on this game possibly one of the worst this gen? While I can tell when FPS drops in a game I'm usually pretty good at looking past it when it does spring up, but on consoles it feels as if I'm spending most of my time below 20fps, perhaps even below 15fps a lot of the time.

I don't know where Bethesda are planning to fit in mods on consoles when it can barely run the game. Really wishing I'd picked this up on PC but I haven't had a reason to play a console since MGSV so decided it would bolster the library a bit. In hindsight, I knew it was a stupid move for mods, but I wasn't expecting performance to be THIS bad.

So I put the game on very hard mode, and I ran into like 5 legendary ememies almost back to back. Got some really good stuff. And it didn't feel all that much harder. I guess ill leave it on very hard.

So what's the highest leveled creature any of you have come across?

.

:P

Not sure about level but usually enemies with skulls next to them I can still fight and kill. This one resisted all of my attempts.

Is the prima guide any good?

I'm so glad I downloaded that John Cena Level Up mod.

Took me ten minutes to kill the Queen Mirelurk and I sniped it one last time and HIS NAME WAS JOHN CENA! Do doo doo doooo

Fuggin epic.

Love how generous fall damage is, using the verticality in some locations to your advantage is so much fun

Took over a supermutant area that looked like either a mall or a wrecked parking garage, saw one walk underneath my platform, jumped down and wrench'd the fuck out of him from behind. Get wrench'd son

I also like that now that I'm using my pipe auto rifle more I'm finding less ammo for it lol

Also the atmosphere in (building)
Massachusetts State House
is unreal. Didn't explore much once I finished the item sidequest, but was prepared to see a giant mirelurk at any moment. Google seems to say I wasn't wrong... Building is like a damn horror movie. I'll go back when I'm a higher level to fully explore so I don't regret it too much

It's kind of absurd no one reacts to cannibalism. Dramatic death in Diamond City where Kyle
gets shot down for synth paranoia, his brother is in tears. Politely eat the body in front of the entire town, no one cares.

What?

I had a good chuckle when I was bartering over a job to get more cash like "Really? I could use some more caps" "Feral ghouls are no walk in the park..I'll need more than that"

Just to immediately go "OH btw I already cleared that place out anyways"

Thank you for informing me of this. The more stupid I make this game, the more fun it becomes.

They understand that in the wasteland nothing should go to waste. Annoyingly, companions are the ones to pass judgement the most.

it sucks and it's funny because in situations like those they just give me the original amount of caps. But I see it as "WAIT WHAT? YOU FUCK YOU JUST WANTED MORE CAPS HERE'S THE ORIGINAL AMOUNT" haha

My Mutfruit that I couldn't interact with ended up unglitching itself! Stored those demon plants away till I decide what I want to do with them again.

I'm not sure if I just ran into this or the game doesn't play nice with lights. I had a generator and then set up a conduit on the side of your old house. I went inside and was fiddling with lights, trying to get some to light up. All of a sudden, game crashes. Tried doing the same thing again and it crashed once more. Bleh.

Wh-

...why.

WHY IS NO ONE IN DIAMOND CITY THE LEAST BIT FUCKING CONCERNED AT
VALENTINE, A FUCKING SYNTH, THE ONE THING THAT THEY ARE UNIFORMLY TERRIFIED OF, IS WALKING AROUND TOWN WITH ALL HIS SYNTH PARTS HANGING OUT?!?!!

Am I fucking insane? Are the people in Diamond City just that fucking stupid?

What you describe is a common problem in the game, but not for the case you mention. It's explained in his story

People do make a few quips about it though

Sometimes randoms say that they dont like him in the city and they wonder why they haven't kicked him out yet. Anyway eventually nick will tell you why they havent kicked him out. Hes my favorite companion, mainly cause he saves me the trouble of having to hack terminals

there needs to be a 'scrap all available scrap' option for settlements. im clearing out this island and it's a pain in the ass.

also some of the stuff you can't scrap which is annoying and a blight on my pristine plans :(

He explains it

I know this is insanely cheap but I just want to build stuff and not have to collect stuff forever so I just buy the shipments from the vendors then use the cap glitch to get my money back lol.

Got all the bobbleheads and faction trophies, now it's just time to run around and level up. Also need to do the base building stuff.
