So what names has everyone giving to their weapons?

My characters name is Marceline (after adventure time I love that show and name), and my go to gun is a combat shotgun with 76 damage, drum magazine and a host of other mods. Slowly working it's way up. It's called Adventure Time as I can't go on am adventure without it.

I named my double barrel shotgun 'Duplet', inspired by the Metro games, and named my automatic pipe rifle the 'Bastard Gun', also from the Metro series. Also called my incendiary 10mm pistol the Dovah Pistol.

28 hours in and I continue to really enjoy this game. I see all of the many flaws it has and fully recognize them, but I just love the world, atmosphere and stories they have built.

This is also the first Bethesda RPG since Morrowind that I've played for well over 20 hours without encountering an overwhelming feeling that everything I'm doing in the game is rather pointless. A lot of that has to due with the stories being told in the game, which I'm finding a lot more interesting than any past Bethesda game, but I think it's also largely due to them finally adding in interesting loot and reasons to pick up all of the junk.

It was a real slow burn for those first five hours or so, but things really kicked into gear for me upon reaching Diamond City. There are still a lot of niggling issues that bother the hell out of me, but the overall experience is just really well crafted.

period.

is that from a specific place or random? because if its specific I need it because I still have NO GAUSS RIFLE in my quest of having one of each weapon

I would also love to know where people get the famous spike gun, the junk one and one of those laser gatling guns from the loading screens

My go to gun is Mr.death fully modded 50 caliber hunting rifle which does 160 damage and shoots an extra projectile.
It's a beast.

The junk one is an early BoS quest
when you and danse go clear out a place and sinth are there, its sitting on a table in the basement when you have to go turn the power on.

I just found
Buddy and I sent him to my settlement...does he do anything? It just completed the quest I didnt have yet when I sent him there.

lol, if you go to the Boston Bugle offices and hack the article computer, you can see that the Red Sox (not named for copyright reasons) World Series drought did not end in 2004 like in real life and that they were one win away from winning the championship for the first time since 1918. The date of the next scheduled game? October 23, 2077.

I'm still surprised when I see people with high damage weapons. They put so many points into damage dealing.

I mean I have like weapons with base 90ish or 130ish damage. Maybe it's because I specifically am a stealth guy so I do 10x damage in sneak mode. But still :'(

This game needs weapon racks to display weapons. Using an old shelf and manually moving weapons around on them takes waaaaay too long.

Yet I do it anyway.

Can you not use that wall display that's shown in the opening video? I haven't tried it yet but I assumed that's what the cork board was for.

I renamed
Kellogg's
pistol Prudence, since it is basically a good choice in any situation for me (except I'm currently starved for .44 ammo). And I renamed the Big Boy I bought Little Big Boy, to make it more of a complement to Fat Man.
Ummm I don't think that hand was there before? Or am I going crazy?
THEY KNOW

I know this is an odd request since hyper-violence seems like it's a core part of the series, but can anyone suggest a way of playing the game that's less.. gory?

I have a 6-year old son who loves to watch me explore the world, but when he's around I have to completely avoid combat because I don't want him to see slow-mo kill cams of severed body parts flying everywhere and people exploding left and right. Shit, I'll be honest, even at 36 years old some of that stuff is too much for even me.

Were there any mods for the previous games that toned that shit down?

I actually dont spec for dmg (well I do have bloody mess and black widow maxed) I just like having one of each weapon on me...justify my 530 weight limit lol

According to Shaun He has never left the institute and his first memories are there. The flash back with kellog must have been with the Shaun synth which would explain why it's recent and Kellogs place hasn't been resold. If it were 50 years ago the mayor wouldn't remember him. It would also make Virgil older than he was. SS solves the loopholes.
(You should definitely be able to confront Father about how heartbreaking it is that he lets you think SS is him)

they claim the cybernetics made kellog age slower too, but synth shawn makes little sense unless sole purpose of drawing attention to Kellog.

I followed though with quest lines hoping I could change things and make the wasteland a better place but no. institute is evil, BOS do not understand synths can become self aware, railroad is PETA but robots and rather ruin everyone's lives to save a few synths...

there's an .ini setting bDisableAllGore=1

I don't exactly know what it does.

For anyone looking for the Gauss Gun, there's a stealable one if you can break into the gun shop
onboard the Prydwen
(requires high hacking/lockpick).

...? Just went into a random bus with two corpses, and I got a prompt to talk to "Arlen Glass." Said hi to wherever he was (didn't see him) and then a Deathclaw came outta nowhere. :(

I think this is based on your level
I hacked the master lock last night and there was a gattling gun but I do not think a Gauss Rifle. Level 29 I am.

Are we still posting spoilers in this thread? How hard is it to post i the spoiler thread and spare us the back and forths with blocks of black text?

The one complaint I have with the mods is that stuff that should be universal (like scopes) is not transferable from one gun type to another. Tried to unequip a medium scope on a sniper rife to attach it to my laser rife and it wouldn't let me :(

Other than that I am completely addicted to the weapons crafting.

Found a nice gun that shoots twice off a legendary... uses .308 ammo and is going to be an insane sniper rifle for me shortly.

Need one more level for Gun Nut level 4 then it's game over.

Both or just one?

Just one, you can unlock the door via the hackable terminal or you can just pick it.

Huh, I'm certain I was at a lower level than that when I snagged it. Maybe there's just some randomization involved (though I remember it being a little tucked away, too).

You are probably right, I will check back tonight! I probably missed it.
