Another terrible quality TV spot, but hey Maz is there

I doubt it will (we'd have heard about it by now), but I wonder if that Comic-Con teaser for Rogue One will be attached to The Force Awakens.

I dunno, I think it's possible. Or rather, I think it's possible a teaser for Rogue One will show up, but not that teaser, which was more or less just a cool 20 second idea rather than an actual teaser.

But I don't think it's a given (yet) that the way spoilers shook out for Force Awakens is how they'll shake out for Rogue One. At least not yet. It's very possible people looking to leak will use similar channels and we'll get our info the same way, but as of now, it's just kinda up in the air as to who knows what and where they're going to funnel that info.

Which means it's very possible there's a teaser ready to go for Rogue One - we just haven't heard about it yet.

Are there any rumors that Captain America: Civil War will get a teaser attached to The Force Awakens? If so, I could see them holding off on the Rogue One teaser and attaching that to Civil War in May (or we get the Rogue One teaser with The Force Awakens and the full trailer attached to Captain: America Civil War?). There's lots of options for Disney. Not to mention they have Finding Dory, which could have one of the teasers/trailers attached. Though, I assume one of those movies will also need to have a Doctor Strange teaser attached. I'm curious to see how the spread things out.

I think worrying about which films a trailer will be attached to is about a decade outdated. It doesn't matter what movie a trailer is actually "attached" to because it's getting most of its views online anyway.

It's a reflex most of us learned on the Prequels, and it's no longer necessary, but we can't stop ourselves from acting like it still matters.

Maybe I'm just not cut out for the marketing world, but if it was me I wouldn't attach a Rogue One trailer to The Force Awakens. I understand wanting to encourage your core audience, but If you're reminding people that there's another Star Wars film coming soon, before you're even watching THIS ONE, it's going to come off as a little overkill.

Not that it really matters either way.

The trailers for Civil War and X-Men: Apocalypse will both play in front of Star Wars.

So this is a pretty good edit of almost all the footage released so far into what the editor assumes is the correct chronological order. I don't know if the editor has read spoilers or not and while all of this is just material that's been released, I suppose for some people who don't want to connect the dots it may make too much plot "obvious", so if you really don't want to try to figure out the plot from the trailers then don't watch.

Spoilerphobes might want to avoid this. It's pretty spot-on in terms of the structure of the film.

Here's the Force Awakens "Auditions" from last night's SNL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-T_pjMr7-n0

J.J. Abrams, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega appear. Also, for whatever reason, Emma Stone (I've heard she's a big Star Wars fan), John Hamm, and Michael Buble appear, despite none of them being hosts/musical guests (Matthew McConaughey was the host and Adele was the music act). The actual SNL castmembers that appeared in the skit did a decent job. It has to be said, man did they make Bobby Moynihan look like George Lucas or what!?

Boyega is way out-acting Daisy in that scene.

It's going to be funny if she does turn out to be a Skywalker descendant and the worst actor in the movie. Poetry!

it's already wrong from the get-go because the opening shot of the movie after the crawl is
the one of a masked Rey opening a lid and staring very close-up directly into the camera
... we've seen it in a trailer or two already (but I don't see it in that video). [edit] This one: https://youtu.be/8Rfs8Mx3Xx8?t=1m42s

That new JW score, hot damn.

The music in the trailers isn't necessarily composed by John Williams. In fact, it's likely that it's not from him.

Seeing that's a clip from the film, it's safe to say it's his music. The 60 second TV spot also has his music.
