It's not as if that has been some subtle and hidden parallel throughout the entirety of the series, is it? There's even a series of articles on StarWars.com exploring the inspirations Star Wars pulled from the World Wars, the Imperial costumes to German costumes, the rise of the Empire to the Third Reich, etc.

That's Disney for you. All about the toys and not about the family space opera that George Lucas worked so hard to create. At least George can make those "small personal" films that he couldn't do because of us evil oppressive Star Wars fans holding him back. I will hold my breath as I wait for the "small personal" films to be made by Georgie boy.

No, there are four critics who needed to see it before, or at the beginning of, December for some thing. Lucasfilm couldn't do that. Regular critics will be allowed to review it as they would with any other film, which means reviews going up before theatrical release.

Yeah, I'd say so. It looks like in the vid she's being way more emotional but a matching sound just isn't coming out haha. No way I'd actually notice this when watching the film though, it's much easier to notice this sort of thing when watching an isolated clip.

Interesting that First Order officers appear to be wearing vader-ish helmets/hats.
Empire always had a thing for those helmets though. the new ones are slightly more Vaderish though yes.
They both look like females, like those officers on the bridge in the trailer. Is that Star Destroyer Kylo Ren's and General Hux's harem? Add Captain Phasma to it and you definitely have an intriguing change in the Empire's ranks makeup. Hope it is more than just gender equality on display here as the Empire being a white men supremacist club felt kind of appropriate before. (Similar to how in George Romero movies, the white men would always make the greedy, bad decisions)
