I tried again to make them add items to my E3 order to stack the discounts, and got excited when the rep said she did, but it didn't show up. At least I got free priority shipping for one order and ToCS LE discounted for another one. I actually think I'm going to cancel my E3 order since it's proven to be tricky and it doesn't have anything special in it.

I wonder if it's going to be possible to stack the deal CM with the next E3 deal.

I also asked the rep if we're ever going to get the FE SE, and she said it should be updating soon, but she probably didn't understood me.

I only told them I had existing order with 2 items and would want to apply additional 15% to match 30% off deal Cyber Monday, they didn't ask any question and proceeded to apply the discount.
 
So Best Buy never solved my FS pre-order problems dispite telling me otherwise.
They charged me full price for Just Cause 3. I already sent them another email just to see if they'll take care of the situation but I'm definitely done with them. I reordered every items at amazon through the 30% promo.

Seems very YMMV I guess. It turns out to be a good discount so I'm down for trying again myself on my lunch.

Sorry, don't have the log on me but the gist of it was as follows. It was very short. Maybe three minutes.

Me> Hi, I have an order for Fire Emblem, order number <X>. I was wondering if I could apply coupon code UUDDLRLR to it. This preorder was not placed yesterday, but as it is an existing order for an item no longer available to order, I was hoping you could apply this for me.

I may have gotten lucky, or the rep was overworked and didn't check things or what, but it was one and done after describing what the coupon code actually did.

Interesting. I tried saying "I have an order for 5 games and an order for 1 game, since all these orders together would apply for the discount, I don't see why they can't be combined."

I will try again and just deal with full price if I can't get it matched.
 
Well I have TP HD for $35 using the screenshot provided by someone from a few pages ago.

Didn't try the double 30% off like some people have though, just because it is a grey area.

The only thing though is mine is a -30% and a manual price adjustment for every game, so an 80$ game is now down to $56 and then -30% so it is $39.20. Which is the double -30% but I don't really have lowest price (the game will never go down below 56$). But I am not really complaining lol.

Can you explain what you did?

I first tried to get them to add new games to the E3 preorder (and state that they all would be the same promo anyways), but since games have shipped, they couldn't do that. So I asked "If I re-purchase all the games from my E3 Promo list, and the new games I want, could you manually add the 30% E3 Promo that I had originally?" He agreed, so I re-bought everything. He said, "the 30% is already I applied," and I said "no, you haven't applied the E3 Promo 30% that you specifically said you would." After 5 minutes of confusion, he eventually agreed to manually adjust all the games (including the games I just preordered today) down 30%. So they are all dropped down 30% and all have the 30% from the CM promo.

It took me about 5 CS Reps to get this done though, so get cozy and be patient.

Is there a limit of one promo per pre-order? If the system applies both promos, then why isn't it allowed?

(Speaking in general, not specifically to 'you' here.)

Does your order exist in two timeframes at once? They are promos with T&Cs indicating they apply to orders placed between date x and date y.

Justify it however you want (I'm not going to try and preach) but at least acknowledge you're basically fishing for easily manipulated CSRs and trying to massage them to get the result you want by feeding them information. Yeah, they probably should be doing their due diligence and making sure someone's not trying to con them, and Amazon really has an issue w/ not documenting crap on orders/tickets so that successive CSRs know you spoke to 5 other CSRs in the last hour about the same issue and got told to PFO, AND they really should have clear policies on what they can/cannot do that are legit customer friendly + swindler proof, but "because I can get away with it" isn't exactly an honourable justification for "why". :p

I didn't disconnect from any, they disconnected from me. I never said anything rude whatsoever, or cycled through them. But when someone said Sorry there is nothing I can do. I tried again, because I knew someone could do something.

Of course it's their employees who keep fucking up so...

I don't think they're fucking up exactly, Amazon will break their rules to keep customers and promote good will for the site since losing tens of dollars every few months matters very little. Though I heard that they keep track of how many exceptions you ask for, making it less likely overtime for people who try to constantly exploit the system.
 
People can try to get whatever they want, at the end of the day the employees should know what they're doing.

Still, I would have no sympathy if your account was marked because of it or something. Amazon has been known to delete accounts for disruptive customers.

You should finish with one CSR and then try another. Sometimes one CSR doesn't know how to do it.

Well this makes me paranoid about my futureshop orders because if I recall this whole thing started because you had to change a CC on the order. Which I will have to do pretty soon.

Maybe I should do a backup order on Amazon to... >.<
 
Was randomly checking Best Buy's website and got the last copy of Xenoblade SE. Score.

I sent Amazon a couple emails asking to add some games to existing pre-orders. If it goes through, great. If not, it was worth a try.
 
So, if I already had Xenoblade X CE and something else on pre-order from the 20% off promotion, is it possible to have the order adjusted in anyway so that I can have the order pertain to the 30% off one instead?
 
My Xenoblade Chronicles X Prima guide isn't shipping until the 8th or 9th. Bleh. i wonder if I should bother with Amazon for that.

Edit: I decided to cancel my old order and order a new one because sometimes that bumps up the release date. The release date didn't bump but the new one immediately went to Shipping Soon and won't let me cancel. Weird.

Edit: And then it went back to normal. :/
 
No luck getting them to combine my orders for that extra discount, but on the plus side, i'm now getting Quantum Break for $36.74
 

Cause i had my price adjusted for the E3 pre orders, and now got it adjusted again for the current promotion, lol.

Has anyone successfully price matched Xenoblade X to the price error?

Not that it matters now since it's out of stock.... I might just throw money away and buy it digitally.
