You know what the dissonance might be? It's a Zack Snyder movie, starring Ben Affleck and Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg...

...and it somehow feels kinda like Arrow, of all the fucking things.

I'd rather just see an extended episode of Bruce, Clark and Lex talking shit to each other. It was the best part of the trailer by far.

This might be the one Zack Synder movie where I like the dialogue more than the action. Feels weird.

The wonkiest thing about the editing in this trailer is the complete silence during the "I thought she was with you" exchange (which they say exactly the same, word-for-word and in the same tone, for some reason) before jerking into the sudden CHOIR

I would have avoided showing Bats and Supes teaming up. We all know it's going to happen but the suspense is greater when you keep that part away from the trailer.

I agree. Trailer showed too much. Also, my worries about Jessie as Lex has sky rocketed now. I highly disliked what I saw in the trailer. Lex is cool, collected, and suave. Jessie showed none of that.

Did people complaining about all the VS "tension" being deflated now forget the movie is titled "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice?" As in, Justice League, which is getting a movie after this? As in, the superhero team that includes Batman and Superman? Or that Batman and Superman are both heroes that fight together and have done so for decades? Did people just forget that stuff and think Batman and Superman were going to be mad at each other forever?

You dont get it. We knew they were going to team up. I think most people however wanted that moment when they team up to be a surprise to see at the theater and not in a poorly edited awkward trailer like this.

So Doomsday is this guy's name? I've never heard of him. I was wondering what the thing would be that ended the fight. I mean, I figured it had to be a common enemy, but I don't know enough DC stuff to really guess at it.

Doomsday is the villain that killed Superman in the comics (yes he got better) in the 1990s. He was pretty much invented for that purpose.

Like, I get people being tight that Doomsday got spoiled, but the arc? The Trinity teaming up? That was a given.

Even when you didn't know what/who they'd be fighting, that was a given.

Bruce Wayne isn't a little local celebrity. He's known worldwide.

If he's staying out of the spotlight and Clark has only recently been to Gotham he's likely never seen him up close before. Heard the name but not see the person much. How many people know the name Bill Gates but couldn't pick him out of the line up? Same thing here.

As for what is suppose to be Doomsday. I can imagine he continues to grow and change as the fight goes on.
