I love how Smallville is basically the lowest tier of comparison for anything to do with DC adaptations. We did it with Arrow, then Flash... it's a running gag at this point.

Doomsday is boring, should never be the focus of a film.. Give me brainiac or fucking lobo.Mech suit Lex at most.
Using Doomsday this prematurely means a potentially interesting Superman film we'll never get to see. And I'm not even implying remaking Death of Superman.
Is there a possibility that Zod get turned into Bizarro?

Hmm I'm still hyped for the movie, but showing Doomsday was pretty unnecessary. Then again so is his existence
Doomsday looks "thin" and not very intimidating on top of him being created from Zod (indicated by the movie). It's a weak way to introduce the character and a bad design.
Doomsday can always come back, and stronger. Might even be planned as he doesn't look to be in his final form yet.Mech suit Lex at most.

They don't "choose" that. Some trailers are attached by the studios, others by the cinema chains.Don't they have some sway in what trailers are attached?
That would require writing Lex to be a threatening villain. Making the characters face moral dilemmas that they can't solve with brute force.
But it's easier to write a fight scene with a created evil that can 'stand up' to superman, WW, and batman.
This looks like it would be the last secene in the movie before credits roll.
Might be a Wonder Woman vision? I've seen that theory posted.
What?
Why fucking shouldn't it?
"Grimdark" isn't really a word, either. It's a catchphrase.
He's not the focus though. Lex is the villain here.Doomsday is boring, should never be the focus of a film.. Give me brainiac or fucking lobo.

I just can't do this anymore--

I think that was the biggest problem with the trailer. We all know they're going to fight but end up joining forces to save the day. That's how all these team up things work. But this trailer builds this tension between Bruce and Clark and then immediately swerves to them working together and cracking jokes. It doesn't work, at all.
In the context of the movie it should be fine since there is probably a good 1+ hour between those moments. But it certainly doesn't work for a trailer.
I don't really have a problem with them showing third act stuff. Lots of movies do that. But you should probably base your marketing around that threat instead of trying to get us to go with this Batman VS Superman angle (the title of the film) and then trying to push things to Lex and Doomsday. They should have just used the Batman and Superman fight to market this, and saved the Act 3 stuff for the theater.
Afflex has a great Bruce Wayne look AND voice.
Also love his voice modulation. Much better than TDK/TDKR's.

Bad editing.
Preferably, with Lex as the main villain. No need for Doomsday at all.
He's not the focus though. Lex is the villain here.
I know. He's not the focus though. Lex is the villain here.
And I wholeheartedly agree, but I think he could have been used as good plot device to to further explore Supes' weakness even with all the power he's got if used right.Doomsday is boring, should never be the focus of a film.. Give me brainiac or fucking lobo.
Holy Christ that trailer was really dragged down by that shitty music. Where is Hans man.
God. At least if I ignore the music, for the most part I liked what I saw. I have no problems with Doomsday there. These are comic book movies, if we don't get the wild and crazy shit, then what's the point.
Nah, that's Doomsday.
Although I think, after seeing Zod get wheeled around Luthor's lab/compound in the last trailer, some people were wondering/hoping it'd be Bizarro as opposed to Doomsday.
But it was pretty much always going to be one of those two as soon as Zod showed up.
Doomsday has always been shit.
The Bale Batvoice was PERFECT! Everything about Bale hit a billion homeruns for me as Bats.
Hell no. I can't stand Bale as Batman, too scrawny, too short. Affleck got this.
Way too early to be throwing Lex into his battle suit. You don't blow your wad with your A tier villain that easily.
Disney is going to let a WB DC trailer screen in front of their biggest movie of the year?
Don't they have some sway in what trailers are attached?
Always thought Doomsday was kinda dumb, glad they are getting him out of the way early as a punching bag for some explosive fun.
I assume most people think Doomsday is dumb. Hes a good minion and not much else.
I'd rather that now then Doomsday. Plus, Supes still got plenty of other great villains.
Hell, I'd kill for Braniac in movie form.
The Death of Superman as is with Doomsday would never be adapted as a Live Action movie anyways.
I wonder how Batman dreams of Parademons....strange....
I assume its a dream sequence
I finally figured out why Eisenberg's Lex bothered me. Subconsciously, whenever he spoke I was reminded of Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka.

And Jesse's part in the BvS trailer:

superman lives was going to have braniac as a head with mechanical spider legs
you don't want braniac in movie form
