So what the he'll is the difference between upressed and uprendered? I'm assuming uprendered doesn't just stretch the image but actually increases the size of everything that is rendered?
Increasing the game's internal resolution(or uprezzing) is making the game natively run at a resolution it was never meant to. This usually means increasing the IQ far beyond what was originally possible.
Upscaling is a term that simply means you are taking a base image with the original resolution, and stretching it to fit something, in this case a TV.
Starting with Xbox 360, all consoles upscale every game to 1080p to fit the TV screen even if the game itself renders at a lower resolution.
PS3 games ran PS2 and PS1 games at their original res and upscaled them to 720p, which did not look so good on TV's.
PS4 is actually increasing the internal res of the game, which increases the quality of the in game visuals.
