I am not feeling it. Its not a Batman versus Superman movie anymore.
Also, "she is with you?" lame.

Not only that, Bruce is puruing her until Crlak interrupts him.
There's a rumor thatWooow, didn't see that all.
No, they were wearing something else entirely.
"I thought she was with you."There's a rumor thatBatman appears in the Wonder Woman movie, so maybe the Wonder Woman takes place before this and he knows about her, has been gathering info on her
Why
Why on God's Earth is Batman branding the criminals he stops
How could Snyder have such a fundamental misunderstanding of the character

As someone who's hyped about this movie, this wasn't as good of a trailer as the SDCC one and Snyder/Zimmer should've done it. I also would've liked if they didn't show as much.
HOWEVER, GAF isn't the normal world, I was shocked how many times I kept hearing the dumb question of "why are they fighting, they would never fight" I imagine WB tests showed that people were still wondering this during their marketing and decided, they had to show them coming together. Showing that they come together at the end should hopefully end that silly talk.
There's many MANY different iterations and no that's not a fundamental misunderstanding. In one extreme, he will put you in a fully body cast as long as, you're in prison and you're not dead. He's not a boy scout, he's a demon personified. This is all within Batman's vision.
This persecution complex is adorable.

Nah, man, persecution complex is a bullshit phrase designed to silence people calling out obvious biases. It's obnoxious enough on the gaming side where we're supposed to pretend there isn't an obvious Sony bias, and now that insufferable behaviour is spreading to comic book movie threads. The sheer hyperbole in this thread is a clear indicator. One iffy trailer (after 2 great ones) and suddenly this movie is confirmed to be dog shit. There is no mistaking the smug edge to certain posters delighting in spreading that belief.
I personally lean more towards Marvel than DC, but I know there is a blatant bias when I see one.

Amazing.
That would be super weird in a bad way. It's called Dawn of Justice for a reason. It would be pretty ballsy if the whole "evil desert superman" was the end of the movie

You're denying biases exist? Bruh, get to stepping.

Well, that would make the DCU indeed very different from the MCU. But I don't think WB is brave enough for that.Dawn Of Injustice
Reading some old threads from 2008, you could have easily called this place 360GAF and DCGAF

You are naturally going to find a large amount of fans for the current "rock stars" of whatever special interest community you venture into. Sony is very successful in the console gaming space right now all while doing and saying all of the right things. Marvel has been making shared-universe comic films for over 7 years now and have built a massive following for the MCU. A greater number of fans means a greater number of people who are more likely to overlook the shortcomings of the thing that they like and who are more likely to be skeptical of the competition.
This isn't a conspiracy, this isn't anyone's persecution complex, and this isn't me accusing any place of being a hivemind. Its just naturally what happens when someone or something is on top. For example, back when the 360 was dominating, gaming side leaned a lot more towards MS than it does currently.
DC has barely started with their shared-universe and Man of Steel being the only tangible product of this for two plus years hasn't been great for convincing anyone that its worthwhile, at least from what I've observed on the internet. Marvel is about 11 films ahead of them so it makes complete sense that there are far more MCU fans right now. So with that in mind, yeah "MarvelGAF" is a thing, at least for now. Its not a bad thing by any means, but it exists.

I wasn't around then, but you are aware biases can shift, right? Brands can drop out of flavour and others can get hot after just one hit.
A few years from now the majority might be riding Microsoft's and DC's jocks again, but that doesn't change the biases now or that those future biases will be similarly insufferable.
Marvel showed the Act 3 big action set pieces leading up to both Avengers movies in trailersPissed me off how much they showed in the trailer. Basically the whole plot was shown. Even the setup for the Justice League movie was given away. At least marvel kept those things under wraps.
I hope there's at least a few surprises in the movie.
This is why I stopped watching trailers. They are great for building hype and getting you excited but also can ruin the movie.

I love Batman. The Dark Knight is my favorite movie, and I'm in the middle of reading The Dark Knight Returns. Great book! Never read it before, loving it so far.
Anyway, Batman is one of the few super heroes I really like. I'll see a Marvel movie because they're guaranteed good times, but Batman is my go-to heroes. I thought the first two trailers for this movie were convincing enough, but after Man of Steel I was pretty convinced that this movie wasn't going to be anything hot. However, I still wanted to see it on principal of being a huge fan of the Bat.
HOWEVER. This trailer... jesus christ. There's like no reason to see the movie anymore! It basically confirmed my fears for the movie... bloated action sequences with toppling buildings, ugly aesthetic, wayyy too much shit going on between Batman & Superman fighting, Lex, Wonder Woman, Doomsday... fuck. This movie is gonna be a mess, very little can save it for me. I don't wanna see it anymore![]()
Hell, MCU spoilersCivil War interview confirmed the Tony/Cap/Bucky fight is the third act. That doesn't really ruin the movie for me. They also showed how the teams were split up in the trailer. Just about the only thing they didn't spoil was Spidey who is most likely a minor cameo. This doesn't really devalue the movie for me because that's how I expected it to end, just like how I expected BvS to end with a teamup, because of the obvious incoming Justice League movie.
What is this thread anymore?
at least they didnt show Aquaman
Here is what I think the difference is.
Based on the BvS trailer, baring some crazy twist, which is unlikely to happen considering the fact that this is only the second movie in the DCCU, we know the general track of the entire plot. Clark and Bruce meet, Lex is there, Clark and Bruce fight, Lex goes crazy, Doomsday comes, Clark and Bruce fight him, get help from Wonder Woman, save the day. The end.
In contrast, with Civil War, this is the 13th movie in the MCU, and most likely the LAST movie that will feature Captain America and Iron Man before Infinity War. We have seen nothing of Zemo and Crossbone's true involvement in the plot, we have no idea how the fight between Cap and Iron Man plays out, who loses, if anyone dies, who betrays who, etc. We have no indication how this battle will actually end.
Thankfully it's not from the movie, but it was the most generic trailer music ever. The only offensive thing about this trailer is the music.
The music they've showcased for this movie so far is beyond horrible.
Bruce has been amazing. Batman, eh. I mean, I'm sure Snyder and his writers aren't going to let him actually try and decapitate Doomsday, but I'll be surprised if he uses his intellect and paranoia to solve problems and leverage his plans. It seems like Lex is holding the puppet strings while Bats is simply out for vengeance. In TDKR, he concocts a number of plans to gain the upper hand against Supes and fools the government not to pursue him. I'm sure Batfleck has a number of tricks up his sleeves (hello kryptonite), but his motive is still kind of dumb.

did this thread talk about the parademons in batman's dream yet

His desire is to defeat a literal god because of his perceived paranoia. That's fine, but his reasoning of the method of execution is up in the air. He is in fact taking Supes head on, but why unless you're on a suicide mission or have a huge ego? At least TDKR Bats knows Supes will hold back on him. Batfleck doesn't have that luxury or at least he doesn't know it.How is his motive dumb? Please explain.

Who knows? Maybe WW tells him her vision of the future if he doesn't interfere, or he gambles on Supes holding himself back, so maybe it will all make sense why he's fighting Supes man-to-god.
