yeah I'm kinda sad but I also think it has to fit his character appearance...

his appearance in VII is also more comical, over the top proportions. the hooting and hollering fits.

but with the VII-R model maybe it comes off as a bit silly haha ;p especially with the sunglasses. It works in VII precisely because he's visually so larger than life but maybe the cooler more serious voice acting fits his more realistic (and smaller I guess) art. looks good either way, just different, still excited to see how it goes. and kinda cool to see him a little differently too, I'm not sure if his original art/dialogue would even work well within VII-R maybe it'd come off as too silly when everything else is more realistic.

actually Deus Ex HR often reminded me of FF VII, especially Hengsha... slums' alleys full of air conditioners, pizza in the sky, and all that

so an adam-jensen-cool Barret with the cyber arm gun and materia-augmented sunglasses is something i'm ok with ;p

Cloud looks fantastic in my opinion and his skin looks much more realistic than the 2005 trailer, Dissidia and Smash. However, he does indeed look somewhat gaunt and frail. A little sprucing (and bulking) up would do wonders. His arms definitely need to be bulkier so it doesn't look completely silly when he wields such a massive sword. I'm more concerned about the personality they're going to give him than the looks though. I really hope they manage to capture the original game's vision for him and not adapt the mopey and bland character from Advent Children.

I think Cloud looks great. His arms and build indeed look close to his original concept art, and the somewhat skinny but still muscular arms wielding such a big sword and being fast and athletic, it all makes for a less generic design. I approve.
