Calling it now: Miracleman is being introduced to the Marvel Universe.

I haven't been following much in regards to Secret Wars IV and the key plot points.

Id be so happy if that were to happen.

Are we absolutely sure 1610 is dead? I know that the expected outcome and Marvel is not going to publish anymore story in that universe, but are we sure it's GONE gone? Did we even get confirmation whether the Ultimates character are retconned into the universe or are just stowaways (with potentially spotty memories)?

Nope. This is the eighth iteration of the Marvel Universe and they have yet to cover other realities, unless there's a book I missed. They haven't touched on the status of 1610 beyond the obvious refugees.

Secret wars finale has a lot of explaining to do. For instance-does Miles remember 1610 or are his memories "merged"? Who all made it over? We know the Maker did, but did anyone else?

By the way-I'm bummed out that I'm not loving Doctor Strange much.

In the Spider-Man #1 preview we see Miles friend is with him, which might mean that his family and other people survived.

You're really asking why Ultimate is dead?
I don't care that it's dead, but why are only those 2 out of the infinite number the ones to go.
I can understand them canceling the Ultimate line, but Marvel 2 and 2099 are still around.

Web Warriors, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man 2099 all have other universes.

Peter Parkers whole history seems to have changed. It seems our heroes do remember something happened but not exactly what.
Peter's history is where it left off with the formation and development of his company. The only difference is that Parker Industries is now bigger. The real question is why S.H.I.E.L.D. is buying Parker tech over Stark.

It's not Spidey #1 shows Gwen, Harry, and Sanjay going to mid town high alongside Peter and Flash.

Is Spidey in official continuity??

EDIT: it seems fuzzy.

The fan asked if the series took place in the mainstream Marvel continuity. "I believe so," Amanat answered. Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said that Marvel has responded to a demand for more all-ages content, and called the series "entry-level" Spider-Man stories that are "for everybody." He also stressed the importance of the series being contemporary, not "creaky and cobweb-y.

True enough. Sajani is Valedictorian instead of Peter right?

They're neck and neck but his Spider-man duties are throwing him off.

Yep, the writer even Joker about writing a scene with Cindy in the bunker watching clips of Peter. It was originally supposed to be between the Lee/Ditko run but things probably changed when wanting stories reflecting MCU Peter.

Is "Spidey" basically a new Ultimate Spider-man, only for a younger crowd?
I'll keep silent watch in case it's actually good.

Continuity is confusing as fuck now, in both DC and Marvel.

I try to ignore it (Like the writers ayyy lmao)

Secret Wars #8 amazing.

Groot reveal was the best bit.

No idea how they'll wrap this up in 1 issue.

So... haven't read the new Secret Wars (loved the original one in the 80s), but I stumbled across this image for Secret Wars #8. Kind of makes me want to read it.

EDIT: Apparently spoilers don't work on mobile, so i'll link to it instead. Apologies for spoiling it for those that saw it who wished not to.

Just read the Christmas Special. Incredibly good, especially with the Kamala parts :)

Also, judging from the back, Gwenpool is from Howard the Duck? What???

First issue is free on Comixology right now.
Jesus the art in Scarlett Witch #1 is absolutely atrocious.
I forgot that was out today and bought it because I was bored and had some tie to kill. Really enjoyed it and I liked the art, I'd much prefer a style like this on Dr Strange since I don't think Bachalo's cartoony art suits the vibe of the book.

Definitely mixed on Scarlet Witch. Art was nice, but overall it felt a bit bland. I'll keep on with it, though; the revolving artists and settings should keep it interesting at least.

If I cared about spoilers I would be pissed at that SW #8 picture right now

Like peple said spoiler pics don't wrk on mobile (that includes tablets). I would remove that

The art for Scarlet Witch works. Just like the story and pretty much everything else in the book, it seems to be aping Hellblazer's style.

Really loving Ultimates, but at the same time, I'm worried it's adopting the pace of Hickman's Avengers series. Events zoom by so fast that I feel detached from the plot. It's like I'm just being given a summary of events.

Ultimates was really fantastic. Easily the best "Team" book right now. And man, that team is really just so OP-brains and brawn!

It really is. I can't wait to see where he goes with
Lifebringer
.

Yea so far it's pretty interesting. Though people have been trying to solve the Galactus problem pretty much since the dawn of multiverse 7, and their solution was pretty damn silly.

Oh yea, just push him into his cradle thing and turn on the juice.

Oh... kay?

Cmon do you actually think this won't have massive repercussions?
