So something that hasn't been addressed, but why is M-pox a thing. I remember quicksilver using the mists to re powr himself and other Mutants.

Well, technically they WEREN'T mutants when that was happening. It was made pretty clear at the time that M-Day casualties had zero trace of the mutant gene.

But then, it shouldn't have affected them at all unless they were latent Inhumans. I dunno.

With all the speculation about what they're doing with the X-Men right now, they're getting a major event in 2016-

I think major event is pushing it a bit lol. It's funny that they're doing this after everything people have been saying about them wanting to ignore the Fox movies.

I thought all new x-men was ok

That Vision though. Goddamn it is so good and I love the foreshadowing of whatever terrible will eventually happen.

This week's books:
All-New Hawkeye #2
Amazing Spider-Man #4
Black Knight #2
Carnage #3
Contest of Champions #3
Deadpool #3
Guardians of the Galaxy #3
Gwenpool Special
Hercules #2
Scarlet Witch #1
Spider-Gwen #3
Spider-Man 2009 #4
Ultimates #2
Uncanny Avenger #3

Quite a few of the books I read on this list left off their previous issues teasing something hype so this should be a fun week for me.

Aw yiss, looking forward to everything except Guardians- great looking line-up this week.

Going to have to wait a little longer than usual because of finals before I can read anything, but it'll be a good motivator to get through it all.

Am I crazy or is Marvel killing with the majority of the ANAD titles? Doctor Strange, Cap Sam, Extraordinary X-Men, Ultimates, Vision, Astonishing Ant Man, etc. I've enjoyed the majority of these books coming out every week.

Why does he wear the mask!?

Yeah, ANAD has been amazing

The terrigenisis bomb was created by Maximus, who is a batshit lunatic, my guess is that whatever he did to the standard Terrigen Mists to maximize the efficiency of the bomb is why the Mutants are suddenly having such a toxic reaction to it.

The universe restarted after Secret Wars, so it's possible whatever effect the mists had before is no longer valid.

Marvel is free to ignore whatever inconvenient bits of continuity it likes here.

Yeah overall ANAD has been a mixed bag for me. The highlights are Squirrel Girl, Vision, Sam Wilson and Daredevil.

All ANAD 6/10*. But Ill wait for judgement after ultimates #5. And secret wars big reveal.

Calling it now: Miracleman is being introduced to the Marvel Universe.

I haven't been following much in regards to Secret Wars IV and the key plot points.

I've enjoyed the majority of the books coming out. The only ones I haven't liked that I've read are Spider-Gwen and New Avengers.

Can someone clarify the new Ultimates for me? Black Panther was on the Triskelion right? So... as far as I know this book takes place in 616, so is the Triskelion in 616 now or is Black Panther casually crossing universes like America Chavez?

Earth-1610 doesn't exist anymore.

See, I thought as much which is what baffled me. So the Triskelion is in 616 now? But... why.

It's not 616 either by earth 8. It's simialr to DC switching from Pre to Post Crisis and then to Post Flashpoint universes. Alot stays the same but things are changed here and there.

Wouldn't mind seeing the Fantastic Four get the spiesy treatment. Reading the Silver Age stuff and the team is really growing on me they were Marvels flagship book for the longest time.

Have they officially dubbed it Earth-8 or is that an assumption based on the Iso-8 thing? I have not seen that listed anywhere but here.

In New Avengers,
this new universe is referred to as the eighth cycle that the universe has been reborn into. 616 was the seventh, and Galactus' original universe was the sixth.
That's the closest I've seen so far.

It's still 616, only it's the 8th iteration of the multiverse. Galactus (and it's equivalent in other dimensions) was from the 6th one. It's still 616, only now there's elements from the Ultimate universe as well as remnants from some Secret Wars splinter universes, because Doom.

Nah, the multiverse is the 8th one. 616 is still one of many universes.

This 8th cycle stuff doesn't make sense because the universe didn't start anew, it just picked up where it left off. When Galactus crossed over from the 6th to the 7th, that was the death and birth of everything - he was the last and the first being. Here it's not like they've skipped billions of years of everything just to tell stories in the present.

We don't know that.
