I'm thinking it's Tekken's version of Akuma. I mean he has no connection to Street Fighter version but it's still weird af
True reason is that Kazumi was originally Gouki's original lover but Heihachi stole her heart and Gouki was NTR'd for life.
That is why he fell to Satsui no Hadou and became the entity you here now.
That or the real reason why Heihachi threw Kazuya over a cliff to die is because Kazuya is really Kazumi and Gouki's child with devil gene and Heihachi was NTR and has eternal hatred.
Jinpachi and Gouken are secretly siblings too.

But seriously the first trailer did say the conclusion to Mishima's Saga in the story. This could be a cool transition into the Tekken Series starting it's new story arc with SF characters in the universe. Ono and Harada could share characters and story arcs. The possibilities :0

I know Harada and Ono are best bud. But I wonder if Bamco had to pay Capcom something to use Akuma in their game. I cant imagine Capcom be happy about SF V missing one of their most popular character while Tekken got him instead
Isn't like he's a free agent they stole. This might still fall under their original deal with TxSF.
It also seems the companies recognize the strength in crossovers. Glad we're seeing people play more loosely with their IPs.
If TxSF is still on the docket, SFV likely got something out of this.

I wish Tekken/SF shared universe is a thing. That'd be so awesome if SF V story mode actually mention Mishima Zaibatsu or something.

I'm just interested that they went that angle rather than it being "here's Akuma, this is a non-canon appearance, enjoy". I mean he seems to be even in the first few trailers in the game.

Its officialy announced for home consoles. They have only talked about the PS4 publicly. But the GDC video leak showed PS4 and Xbox One as platforms.

Well non canon guest character is not that special anymore nowadays. Almost every fighting game does it now. Announcing that Akuma had a role in the story is much more exciting.

Maybe its a universe colliding type of story. That starts in their seperate games
