People planning to wait hours+ in the theatre to get a good seat: what are you planning to do to kill time? I'm going with friends, so I need group activity ideas.

You made a channel just to mirror other peoples content? ...

That happens a lot on YouTube, especially with movie trailers. People download popular videos and re-upload in order to try and get some of those ad monies.

It can sometimes be difficult to find official studio uploads for popular trailers via search simply because so many people have down the download/reupload thing.

Bring your Vita. Play Super Star Wars.

Don't have one.

Like I said. I plan on getting there an hour beforehand on friday. Depending on how the line is I'll just chill in my car a bit and just entertain myself with my phone once that line starts getting noticeable I'll wait.

Maybe just listen to music. I'm going with my cousin but I suspect I'll be the early one saving a seat for him.

This…is not a group activity.

This helps!

My plan is two hours ahead. I'm just gonna be hanging with my son who's coming with me. So 7 for our 9 o'clock showing.

Idk what we will bring.

Finished ROTJ

I read somebody saying "the first hour of return of the jedi is trash"

So people dont like

The ewoks
The first hour of return of the jedi
The way boba fett died
The way obi wan died
The new hope ending
The short jedi training luke got
The fact that stormtroopers miss all shots
Yub nub
The new digital effects
The old ugly special effects
The way the death star explodes
Yoda as a puppet
Yoda as a digital puppet fighting
The prequels

I really got to ask: do people actually like Star Wars?

Or do the just like to complain about it?

I'd be surprised if one person disliked every single one of those things.

Don't forget about people complaining about completely reusing the Death Star for ROTJ :P

Nah, I really like ROTJ, flaws and all. It's a return to the more fun ride that the original movie was and less of the dark and more mature tone that ESB took the series. My biggest flaws is in the characterization and some lazy tie ups to plot threads but it's still a great movie. The duel there is top notch, a battle of words, father and son, trying to convince the other to their side.

Driving a bit more out of the way but very glad I got some reserved seating for the movie. Supposed to be in the 30s that night and really hope it's just going to the theater and go straight to my seat with no waiting.

Actually the channel is completely non-profit. It is simply meant to be an aggregator channel. You cannot recieve revenue from someone elses video. Well, unless you're a criminal and claim it as your own. In other words, our channel is not monetized!

Biggest problem I had with my rewatch was the final 3rd is trying to cut between, Endor, the space battle, and inside the death star. That meant something wasn't gonna get it's fair shake which was the space battle.

Eh, the TSG link is just a fuzzy rip and re-upload of the original.

If you want to see the Chinese trailer in HQ, hit up the original YT link.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECYgD7zylrE&feature=youtu.be&t=16

Remember folks, just because someone tags "Exclusive" on a YT video doesn't mean they are the original source.

It was a trailer, only found in China, hence exclusive. Even though the China trailer has half a million views, our channel is 100% non-profit. In other words we now nor ever will be monetized!

I'm hoping that for at least the majority of the first movie that Kylo Ren is just a monster, like some Friday the 13th unstoppable menacing shit like that brief shot we got of him stomping towards what looks like Rey and he just bats down a blaster bolt. At least until Luke shows up and hands him his ass but not killing him.

I'm interested in seeing if they will go the Prequel route of having one big baddie per movie or if Kylo Ren will be the new Darth Vader and be there for all 3 movies.

This is one of the few times where I'm glad they sell numbered, assigned seats at theatres here in Asia.

When I go to buy my tickets, they show me the seating plan and let me pick my seat numbers.

I'm good to go.

Considering the mind boggling amount of elements that had to be composited into each shot of that space battle it was probably about as long as it could possibly be. That thing is absolutely nuts for something that was done in 1983.

How are most theaters without reserved seating going about opening night showings and whatnot? I'm seeing the opening show at my theater so I'm wondering if it's gonna be a first come first serve thing in the theater itself or if we'll have to wait in line before they open up the theater.

Hey everyone..

AOTC is really bad.

Like I guess the Yoda stuff at the end is okay. The Asteroid chase is fantastic.

But yeah, its pretty rough.

Anakin is creepy, and the lines are some of the worst stuff.

Like "I wish I could just wish away my feelings"

Ugh.

ROTS Is better, if I remember correctly.

Anakin, stop trying to fuck me. I met you once, like, ten years ago. This is making me super uncomfortable.

Can you not interrupt me while I'm talking to someone and then get angry because I didn't what you want me to do?

You just murdered a whole village? Even the women and kids who had nothing to do with your mother's death?

Anakin, we rolled around in the grass so now I love you. Let's get married.

[edit]

Another reason why Anakin should have been a teen in Episode I is the Padme stuff. Episode I could have established their interest in each other and Episode II could have been about them falling in love.

Sith is nice stuff. The opera scene is one of the best moments in the entire Star Wars saga tbh.

I would've been embarrassed to even put "Across the Stars" in the movie. Shit sounds like Gone with the Wind in space, and its clear that was nowhere in the script or the performances or like...anything. The music just made that more apparent that this wasn't some epic planetary crossing romance.

yes it is.

At least it gave us "Across the Stars" (which, as I usually say, deserved a better love story than the one portrayed on screen) and Natalie Portman in a dominatrix outfit.

Across the Stars might be my favorite track out of all the prequels

I literally can't decide between "Across the Stars" and "Duel of the Fates" for my favorite Williams composition from the prequels... so I won't choose and I'll have them both xD

Man Gone with the Wind's theme is fantastic.

And yes, Across the Stars deserved so much better. Williams didn't fail us with these movie's soundtracks. Another theme I love from AOTC is the assassin's chase music. And this one.

People planning to wait hours+ in the theatre to get a good seat: what are you planning to do to kill time? I'm going with friends, so I need group activity ideas.

oh man. Why do people put themselves through this? Some theaters allow you to select specifically which seats you want when you buy your tickets, which is what I did.

Man oh man. Idk how it happened, but I just watched Empire and enjoyed it and appriciated it more than I ever have the dozen or two other times Ive seen it. I was more consciously aware of all its great qualities just as a film in its own right as I watched it.

Despite being a huge Star Wars fan, ive never considered any of the movies to really be that great on an artistic level. Thrilling rides that lend foudation to all the stories of the expanded universe, but this was the first time I watched it with a keener mind and little distraction that let me see that, actually, this movie is outstandingly well made. A legitimate masterpiece. I really cant believe how late to this party I am, its almost shameful considering how much I know and care about the franchise.

Hope was not nearly as good a movie now that I can see it. And Jedi is next im starting to wonder how thats gonna go for me in this new... Enlightenment? I used to have a hard time picking Empire over Jedi as my favorite, but That may change soon if Jedi doesnt capture me in a new light the way Empire just did.

Im being ridiculous, but fuck, hype for 7 is really starting to hit home. Its so close I can feel it like a gravity. Like a.. Force. Awakening inside of me. Blood rushing to my... Mmm, mmhm. Yup.

To think I have to wait until the 20th. I need yoda to help me be patient.

(If you read this before I edited it, sorry, typing on a phone is impossible)

There are about half a dozen good things in AotC:

-The opening Courscant chase
-Ewan McGregor performance of Alec McGuinness playing Obi-Wan Kenobi
-Samuel L. Jackson's line reading of "This party's over"
-John Williams
-Padme's many increasingly silly outfits, complete with the last one where a monster just so happen to tear right across that sexy midriff.
-That sound of Boba Fett's sesimic charges. Silence then....BWAAAAAAAAAAAM

I think after Tattooine the movie basically implodes, aside from the Luke/Vader/Emperor showdown. Considering the cast they had, I consider it the biggest disappointment as it could have been so much more. Instead we get a recycled Death Star, ewoks and way too much time spent with them, the attack on the imperial moon station misses any excitement, Han/Leia are just plot elements instead of carrying the narrative like they did in previous movies, and the destruction of the Death Star seems like a copy of the first one without any real tension...

That BWAAAAAAAAAA noise... I remember sitting in the theater and watching it, and feeling the chair shake from the sub's when that thing explodes.

That was a really cool concept and idea.

Makes me excited to hear what Ben Burtt did in Episode VII. Sound wise. He has his sound design take over once every film. I can't wait to hear what it is.

Lando realizing that the Death Star shields aren't down as the enemy rushes them and the entire throne room confrontation are my favourite moments in Star Wars.
