16? The android he had never met before except that one moment?
This is why I want him dead. His character makes no sense. He is the new yamcha. Heck, he even looks like him.

I used to wonder why chi chi was just sort of "alright" with goku running off like he did all the time. I mean, she got "mad" at him, but in the end she just "put up with it".

And yamcha? Yamcha just sort of stopped caring about his girl bulma when vegeta (of all people) started banging her?? Riiiiiight.

Something was/is going on between chi chi and yamcha that goku doesn't know about.

Even now. When you think about it..... Where IS yamcha? Huh? And chi chi?

.....wait. What were we talking about again?

I'm dreaming of a Gohan and android 17 team up movie.

Since they're the only two fighters left on earth.

Also for those interested, the FnF arc ends in january, and follows directly with Tournament arc.

So what observable evidence do we have that Gohan is actually smart?

For all we know he could be a professor at a third rate online college.

Difficult Books™.

I dunno. I always liked that it was 16, an android, made Gohan rampage than his very close friends and family.

Helps that 16 himself cared more about the world/nature. Dude legit made me sad over his death. ;-;

Vegeta and Goku can't land a fist on him and Whis one shot KO Beerus.

That's... the solid answer.
Yeah but how do we know there isn't someone stronger? There apparently was someone stronger than Goku the entire time, whats to say there isn't someone stronger than Whis. Im just trying to point out how silly the Gohan question is.

Wait... Android 17 is still alive? What?!

16 was a machine so I guess he was exempted somehow? 17 and 18 are part human. idk.

Android 16 is a robot, so I doubt he was revived.

Quick bit of research indicates that Android 8 is seen giving energy for the spirit bomb Goku uses to defeat Kid Buu. Apparently he is completely synthetic like Android 16 and was wished back by the Dragon Balls (with the rest of the world).

Man, even then, you'd think that Android 18 would want to see her twin brother.

It can't be stated enough how much Dragon Ball has a great, underused cast of characters.

So Android 16 must've come back as well? Why the hell weren't those two more involved with the Buu saga? Toriyama man, you're killing me.

Well, they did say "people" to the dragon. Suck it, 16. Died saving the planet, got shit in return for it. His body was completely destroyed though. Maybe that counts as 'natural causes' or something. That dragon is so full of shit. Can make you immortal, but can't bring you back to life if you die of natural causes.

Returning to the actual show (did the manga peeps get a different thread? seems awfully specific to the anime all of a sudden), Vegeta killing Ginyu right away was weird (and removes the possibility of frog gags for future use), since the English dub of the first gods movie made a point about him not killing anybody for a long while. Felt like they had their little fun but had to return quickly to the same plot as the RoF movie by just having Freeza take care of the rest. Also, that Gohan daddy-long-legs artwork, wtf was that supposed to be? I wish they had kept the proportions as AT would draw them, that whole "everybody is tall now!" looks awful in other shows as well.

I've never watched Dragon Ball (I know lol) but I've always heard complaints about Toriyama forgetting Launch and other characters. But forgetting Android 17 is basically unforgivable. So much potential for him and 18 to mess around during filler or for him to intimidate Krillin.

It's all just a load of nonsense. It's clear that Toriyama is just making up the dragon ball's limitations as he goes along.

I actually really liked Vegeta disposing of Ginyu that quickly. Tagoma's body seemed to be at a similar level to Frieza final form back on Namek. And that took SSJ Goku to defeat. So for Vegeta to destroy him without even turning SSJ just adds a nice touch.

Well I can answer all those loopholes.

Toriyama gave information regarding 17 and 18 not long ago.

- Android 17 is the only android with unlimited energy, Android 18 was made weaker because 17's power was believed to be the cause of his insubordination

- Android 17 and 18 were human twins before being kidnapped by Gero, that enhanced them with cybernetics

- They are mostly humans and organic, the point was to allow Cell to absorb them (17 wonders why Gero made them since he could make 16 already without humans)

- Android 18's name is Lazuli, Android 17's name is Lapis

- Android 17 after being resurrected (he was one of Cell's victims), found himself a job as forest ranger, and has a wife, he has adopted her two children

- Android 16's model was based off the son of Dr Gero, who was a soldier for the Red Ribbon army that died in combat.

- Android 17 has visited 18 and met his daughter, a few times, during the various time skips

As for why he didn't help in the Buu saga, remember he doesn't know how to feel ki. So he couldn't have done anything and then the earth blew up.

As to why Android 8 was restored and not 16, easy, when they restored earth after it was destroyed, every material thing was restored too (cars, buildings...), that includes robots. But it only worked for when the earth was destroyed, not 5 years in the past.

16 had no soul, unlike 17 and 18 so he wasn't brought back like 17 when they wished that the people Cell killed gets revived.

So Android 16 could've been revived all this time but Toriyama forgot. Nice.

So Android 17 has unlimited energy which makes him a lot more interesting but isn't part of the gang at all. Nice again.

The ki thing makes no sense. Anyone could've found him and told him about it. If him and 18 are in contact, she would've told him surely? Let's be real, Toriyama probably forgot about him until it was too late.

In reference to Buu? I don't think she really had the opportunity. If I recall correctly, her and the others immediately went to Dende's lookout after Buu was released, and she likely died soon after. Plus, Goku, Goten, and Trucks were the only ones left that could potentially beat Buu. Android 17 would have been of no good.

That Gohan scene apparently was drawn by an animator that mostly works in One Piece.

- Well Android 16 had no soul so nobody really cared.

- The unlimited energy of 17 was actually not a recent info, it was released by toriyama in one of the chapters interlude pages, it's what inspired Super 17 GT plotline, so I'm assuming they don't use 17 again because GT already did :/ sucks

- It makes perfect sense, don't you remember them having to "hunt down Goku for fun !", they had to go ask around Kamehouse. He couldn't feel Piccolo's ki, nor Cell's. 17 had no way to know about Buu until he attacked all humanity. And while he survived that (like Tien did), he still couldn't feel where the action was taking place. Then earth blowed up, and he was brought back to life, then he helped Goku when he heard his voice. Now the thing that makes no sense is that he technically never met Goku. But I guess he did say he had files on Vegeta in his brain, so possibly Goku too.

Actually I'm pretty sure Android 8 is part-human. Unlike 16.

It would be interesting if they try to revive 16 and Shenron mistakenly revives the son of Dr Gero's instead.

Shenron rebuilt cars and buildings, and TVs, might as well recreate robots.

He had no reason to recreate a robot that exploded 6 years ago, when asked to reconstruct earth as it was 24 hours ago ..

It's not specified if 8 is part human or not. It's implied that not.
