Na man with some chips in the mouth mixed with the batter and black pudding its a taste to die for

Do you americans have Fish and Chip shops or is that a total british thing ?

Yeah we have some of those. We have a local Irish pub place called Ol' Bag o' Nails. Really good stuff. Fish and chips as well as fried pickles. Good stuff. Blood pudding is one of those things that sounds disgusting, but I'll admit that it'd probably be good if I could stomach the taste of trying it.

I've already chimed in on the "typical" American breakfast. My typical American breakfast is cereal and rice milk (lactose intolerant FTW). On the weekends it's eggs over easy, toast, turkey bacon if we have it, and coffee and orange juice. If we do pancakes we only do eggs with them, I don't eat as much as I used to when I was younger so if I did the "typical" American breakfast I have to be starving.

The chips in the place are usally "home made chips" from peeled patato's there in the shop

people in america still eat blood pooding. Back home in Burgaw, NC My gramps would eat that shit all the time. It's delicious.

Throw that shit on with some hot links and egg and we got ourselves a break dance party.

But it wasn't burnt to a crisp or some shit like that. It was mushy like a potato.

To be honest, growing up and now I'm in my own place 9/10 that's exactly what I'll eat on a Saturday. Not sure if it's more a working class thing though as near enough every Saturday I'll go to the cafe for a fry-up but my gf (middle class) had only been to a cafe once before she met me.

Ken

:lol Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something here.. It's funny how much things have changed here in America where most of us have ancestry from UK (I'm of Scottish, British, and Polish descent).

I assume that you UK'ers don't eat grits? That's mainly a southern thing in the US but it's pretty good.

Goddamn, I'm never eating a standard breakfast in the US or Great Britain. That's not breakfast, that's dinner!

I would puke if I ate such an oversized breakfast meal :/

In the South its mostly this.

Sadly I don't have the time cook it no more. So, a cold bowl of cereal is what I eat now.

Dude, as an American, I don't eat the "Big Sunday Breakfast" with my family until like, 11 or noon. Its more of lunch rather then a breakfast.

We make up for it most of the time at lunch and dinner.

Mostly a British thing. Post-bar food options are usually of the Mexican variety.

Not in the northeast, I can count the Mexican places to eat in my neck of the state on one hand, but can't even begin to count the craploads of seafood and greek pizza joints, one around every corner.

Oh, I forgot. Here in the States, you call them "fries in the mouth."

The likes of ham, eggs, sausages, baked beans, tomatoes, etc in the OP is supposed to be "disgusting"?

Just what kind of pussy taste buds are you spouting?!

ugh.. english breakfast.... i can walk all day on a breakfast like that. untill the shit hits the bowl... damn.. that's a lot for breakfast.

in the netherlands most people eat slices of bread with something on it.. cheese, ham, peanut butter, whatever..

All I get from all that is "Assplosion". Maybe the body builds up tolerances but holy shit that's a lot incompatible food for me.

Everything looks good except the blood sausage or whatever that black stuff is. I'd prefer more potatoes and less beans.
Are those just pinto beans in tomato sauce ?

A perfect standard American breakfast for me consists of fried eggs over medium, bacon, toast, hashbrowns or homefries, and coffee + OJ. If I'm really hungry, I'll go for pancakes too.
But I usually skip, since they're empty calories. And I'm really picky, I don't like fake maple syrup.

Beans for breakfast? Interesting!

Here in the mid-west we have the slinger... (more of a late night diner thing but you can get it anytime)

Hash browns, sausage patties, cheese, over easy eggs, smothered in chili and onions. YUMMMY!

I'm in the UK and got gifted some grits. I made them up with water as directed and they're a bit plain. What can you do with grits to make them interesting and tasty?

Geez, I wonder why so many Americans are fat as fuck...

Yes, because we all eat eggs, bacon, and sausage every morning, just like the English eat a full breakfast every morning as well.

No, its the ease of getting food at McDonalds and not exercising. The breakfast has nothing to do about it.
