Needs to be more options for connecting with players. Like, an option to filter out WIRELESS CONNECTIONS. =(

Okay, so these are the one combos I should be practicing with Nash in Training.

1. S.LP x S.MP Sonic Scythe M
2 Cr.MP x Cr. MP Tragedy Assault L
3. Cr.MP x S.MP Sonic Scythe M or H
Sonic Scythe M can be canceled into his super.

4. Lp Target combo -> qcb+HK

I'm gonna stay with these and see if I can get the hang of them.

Wait is this live or what ? I can't make sense of that schedule.

I'm in EU.

EU players seem to have trouble connecting with anyone.

I guess that should be possible since you have to choose to use one or the other so the PS4 should know. But has a game ever implemented something like that where it could tell players what type of connection other players are using?

Don't know, but unless people have straight up shit connections, I get a lot of teleporting matches.

OK, so now I realize the problem with Necalli.

His pokes.... ehh.

Except for his charge attack and his DP, his moveset is really not that good.

He feels like a much worse Vega (Before the charge change).

Character is still good, but if the enemy is aware of the match up and it comes down to fundamentals and poking/etc, you start to realize this character is not that great.

Geif is so strong. You can get a full v-trigger off of s.HK at any range. Then after you can ex SPD. Or you can s.HK for a reset. In the corner ex running bear will almost always get them.

The combo timing is a lot more lenient in SfV. A lot of characters even have very useful target combos to make things even simpler for newcomers.

This game is being made with both new comers and veterans in mind so they're really boiling it down to fundamentals. Someone who has a good grasp on the fundamentals of fighting games will beat someone who only knows how to do the sickest combos.

You should give it a shot.

This game is very noob friendly imo. Give it a try.

It's much more approachable than 4. Combos are shorter and have more lenient timing.
Well, that's actually encouraging to hear. I had every intention of grabbing SFV, but playing SFIV turned me off quick. Not at all due to the quality of the game, but the complexity of it, though I'm casual as it comes when it comes to fighters. I'm glad to hear SFV is more lenient in that regard.

Huh? Dude, SF4 gives the most "fucks" about newcomers more than pretty much all the other SF titles. Its a very easy fighter to get into, just hard to become intermediate or higher.

-Jumps are good since some AA's are still prone to trade
-Mash jab to get out of tick setups
-Mash tech to get out of throws
-Use ultra as a comeback threat
-Use random focus to catch people sleeping

I honestly don't know what more you could want to make it easier. Take some time to really learn one character, I guarantee you'll see that its not a hard game to get into.
See, you might as well wrote that in windings, because I have not the slightest idea what any of that meant. It'd be great if SFIV had some kind of tutorial to explain all that.

Don't worry about advanced terminology. That kind of stuff you'll pick up as you play and disucss the game with others. Don't be afraid to ask what a bunch of shit you don't understand means.

I feel like as Birdie I either hit this zone and I'm untouchable or they just jump all over me and I can't get them off.

My fondest memory of the beta period is definitely going to be trying to parry the booger that Birdie throws in his idle animation and consistently succeeding at it.

Did matchmaking shit itself? It's been 10 minutes and nothing yet. I was getting a steady stream of matches every 1-2 minutes for about 45 minutes.

The only thing worse than being DC'd on when you're about to land the final hit is disconnecting before the final hit is being landed on you.

That guy must be pissed. I didn't DC on purpose, brah. Don't hate me.

Yeah, it's down for me, too.

Edit: US PSN here.

So while stuck in eternal training mode last night , my friend and I discovered that Laura > Cammy in just about every way , they're both fast but Cammy relies so much on getting in to do damage and Laura has just a bit more range as well as being able to command grab as soon as Cammy gets too close. As well, coming in from the air is unsafe with every single move Cammy has. Not to mention that Laura can do much more damage more easily during the multitude of unsafe attacks needed to get in with Cammy.

It's not impossible but I think Cammy is in for a major uphill battle in that matchup with the current balancing. The only thing that really worked to poke Laura with was ST MK. I mean I can add that I'm hardly the greatest SF player on earth (I'm lucky if I'm even above average really) but it really feels like , moreso than other matchups- you have to rely on a couple of pokes while playing defensively OR get in as fast as possible during a mistake.

All is not lost here though, Laura is pretty fun to use in her own right but I'm just a little sad that Cammy sucks so much against her because I enjoy using cammy as well. It's just so much work to make such little headway in this particular matchup.

Another note , perhaps it's because I've learned so much using Ryu (thanks to Gooteks fundemental training) but .. he's starting to feel kind of dull to use. I really do think EVERYONE should learn SFV with Ryu before trying anyone else because he teaches you so much but after a certain point he feels kind of boring. Dunno if he needs more moves or more what but there's something missing there.

I think Capcom is adjusting matchmaking right now

Thanks. So I take it, that the other ones I got shouldn't be understood as "S.LP x S.MP" is Sonic Scythe M (name)? Or is Sonic Scythe M another attack I need to do after S.LPxS.MP?
Sonic Scythe is Nash's QCB K move. Sonic Schtye M means you do the medium kick version. slP sMP Sonic Scythe M means you do the target combo then cancel it into the special attack.

But BB also tells you what they are. It explains everything.

Yes and no. Yes, it explains everything. But it jams everything into a single segment. Go play Sol--er--Ragna's "tutorial." Watch how Rachel explains everything and then goes "okay, I want you to hit Bang to 50% health. Attempt to do this with all this stuff I just explained two minutes ago and you probably didn't process. START!"

That's the problem with Blazblue's (and by proxy: Guilty Gear)'s tutorial. It explains this stuff and doesn't actually "explain" it to where you remember/understand completely.

Yeah that's a lot of down time for a beta of a game that's had multiple betas and is coming out in 2 months.

I sure as hell don't remember all these betas you are talking about for my version of the game. Maybe if you were smart enough to get the game on PS4. Us PC users have been screwed throughout this whole thing.
