Does the ps4 TE2 stick work normal on pc sfv? I played the beta on ps4 but bought the pc version since Im not paying for ps+ after it expires. Been waiting for a random test so I can find out.

It hasn't for any of the betas so far. JoytoKey was needed. It was some bullshit. Better have it sorted at launch.

If you're interested in competing in tournaments at all and can only get one version, get the PS4 version.
If any part of your experience is different on PC than it is on PS4 you'll likely regret having to switch back and forth.
Otherwise get both.

Isn't the PC version the same? Hence there's crossplay? Did I miss something somewhere? I haven't had a chance to participate in any betas but I do have it on PC.

Really? That's pretty unfortunate. I ordered one of the new TES+'s that are coming out next month. Going to be annoying if I have to use a 3rd party program. I thought those sticks could emulate ps3?

It's not a rampant problem bruh. People are talking about it like it some black plague crap. You are one of them. Go quote yourself.
You said people are telling 'a lot of damn lies' about PCs macros. I saw a general discussion about macros and a general consensus that it seems to be happening more on console so I was interested in how I may have missed these lies. I didn't mention any macros. So quoting myself wouldn't do any good. Bruh.

At the end of the day it's just online boys. You can't put much care into it. A game like street fighter is all about the offline play.

? ? ?

Online is where you are going to amass 80% of your match up knowledge.

I sure as SHIT doubt that most areas around the USA are going to have someone who is a top 5 for each character. If you are god like offline you should be god like online, and therefore be able to play only the best in ranked.

Otherwise, you can get into communities online and set up private matches. If my area had no good Lauras, but I get bodied at a tournament out of my scene against a Laura, then I'm going to match that guy online or someone on his level to learn the match up.

Smug is a great example and so is wolfkrone. Both of those boys are made out of the online fires. Not all of us have the option to partake or live in an area worth taking in for the local community.

Get good online, and hopefully when you go to a tournament you can use that time to fill in the gaps, network, and be able to up your game.

could be the case and still not mean shit
What does that even mean? Most people play online, they paid for the game, it has to be good. Doesn't matter what you think is legit or not. One of the worst things about modern fighting games is how bad the online part of it is.

What's the difference?
Joy2Key lets you bind keyboard commands to your stick, the other one pretends your PS4 controller is a 360 controller.

Anyone had any experience of the Brooks converters?

Got a 360 TE that I'm hoping to get running adequately on ps4.

Can't find much online about them.

Your previously expressed concern that PC hackers can just modify move properties for use in online matches is so comical that it's not worth a lengthy response.

Explain plox D:

I'm always open to a better solution than Joy2Key with my HRAP3.

Joy2key converts controller inputs to keyboard inputs.
x360ce converts controller inputs to Xbox controller inputs.

The main advantage of x360ce as far as SF5 is concerned is that it allows you to configure 2 controllers at once for local versus. Can't do that with Joy2key.

I should also add that frame drops don't slow down the opponent's client in this game like it does in SF4.

So shitty PC's won't hurt you.

That's a relief. I would feel bad if I was making other people's matches miserable because my slowass PC is not constantly hitting 60fps.

But how does that work, exactly? while I was tweaking the beta for best performance I found out that if my settings were too high sometimes my fps dropped into the lower 40s and even 30s and that made the game feel like it was playing in slow motion instead of skipping frames.

If I were to do Ryu's CA and his close up animation played in slow motion on my PC, then my opponent could have enough time to hit me because the animation already finished on his end. LOL.

Man, something like this would be a really cool alt for Laura:

ZFn2dnk.jpg

Looks cool, would work in many different colors and is more sexy than her two other costumes, even though it shows less skin. I'd only change the heels, I don't think high heels fit her moveset very well.

No, that's not how it works. Online and offline operates differently from what I observed trying the game out on a toaster.

If you drop frames in training mode (offline modes I assume) below a certain threshold the game speed slows down accordingly like in SF4. Dropping to 55 still doesn't slow down the game in this case, for example.

When you're connected to an opponent, though, every time you drop frames the game speed stays the same and you sort of just skip frames. So the CA animation runs on time but just looks choppy to you (skips frames). So it doesn't make a difference for your opponent at all.

I'm not sure if the game speed is tied to the person with higher performance or if it's set. Like if both people were playing with shitty PC's would it slow down the match in that case or if they both run at the speed at they're supposed to? Regardless, it never matters as long as you're not the one playing on a toaster.

Works great for me with 360 sticks on PS4. Only issue is the adapter firmware update is pretty clunky and they had to update the firmware after the last two PS4 firmware updates caused the authentication timeouts. I dunno if that's going to continue to be a thing.

One final beta test before the release

Finally, as a big thank you to all the fans who have supported us throughout the year, we are holding one final beta starting January 30th at 12:01 AM Pacific and ending January 31th at 7:00 PM Pacific. If you have been on the fence about getting the game, this will be your last chance to try it out before release so be sure to pre-order for beta access, as well as exclusive costumes! I mean, just look at this guy!

I'm glad that's the case, and yes I'm playing on a toaster. 54-60 fps on average. This was me playing on Beta 3. I'm just happy I can play it even in this form. :D

have they removed the noodle bowl when you break through the wall into the restaurant ?

I find it neat that we got to see this feature added then pretty much dropped in development. Good thing too, a lot of extra work for something that most people will just hit skip on after they've seen it once or twice.
