You see Kylo in the forest in the vision, but not that specific shot.
I'm okay with it not being in the movie, it always seemed like an awkward shot. Like it looks cool, but I don't understand why he would suddenly stop and strike a pose.

I think him being all worked up trying to save Rey and trying to be a hero sold the joke, as it did when he got in Phasma's face. I'm hoping Finn is force sensitive, but even if he's not, I'm really rooting for the character, he has a lot of heart and room to become a badass.

It's very surprising that a videogame would spoil Episode VIII's big reveal ...

I think his performance in Fruitvale Station was better, but he should've been nominated for both.

I think the prolonged reaction of the exhausts was just for trailer purposes. The shot looks awesome, but looking at the way the lead-up to the final battle works I can see why they cut it.
I hope the deleted material makes its way to Blu-ray though, considering there seems to be a lot of it.

yea, people have totally forgotten how Jedi/Sith used to fight so the way they fought was more raw and less choreographed. i really loved the lightsaber fights in this movie.

It is a reflection of his personality. He is unstable emotionally and so is his light saber.

It's as unstable as its owner.
The real reason is because it's based on an old saber construction. The crystal used is too powerful and requires the vents along with causing the unstable look.

The novel is really "canon"? Because the more i learn about the novel, the more i think it's not...good.

Fine, but fuck Ktor2. Everyone gets a lightsaber, without exploits this time too.
The official word is that the novelizations are canon except for the parts that contradict other parts. For example, the novelization of ANH says uncle Owen is Obi-Wan's brother but that's not canon.

I figured it was a teaser-only scene to introduce the concept of the cross-saber, especially given the deliberate way he ignites it.
I'm considering catching a regular 3D showing an hour from now for a fourth time myself.
