I could only play one hour top in a session, it's too intense.
I played 2hrs in two sessions today and I.... fully agree.
Never played any horror game before in my life and this is making me so tense and scared. Need to change my pants.
This is such an intense experience I've never had before, I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull through but I love the setting and atmosphere so much ( ;_;)
Coming directly from Dishonored to this is such a harsh change. There is stealth in both but man, I feel so much more powerless here. No clue how far I'm visible or being heard.
Just "met" the alien today as well, so the working joes. Jeepers, hope I'm not gonna have nightmares :o

Seriously, this game is nothing for the feint of heart.
Using the motion scanner looks soooooo good :o

Almost forgot. Made a comparison gif showing differences between "HDAO" and "Standard" AO settings. The one with more and better AO is "Standard". Comparison Gif.
But is it dumbo-proof though?
Haha, this dumbo managed it ;)
Is there any reason I shouldn't buy Helldivers Digital Deluxe Edition at full price right now?
After being revealed for PC, I watched videos of it. Man it catapulted itself on the top spot of twin-stick shooters. There are some really neat mechanics and it just looks like a blast! Can only imagine being a ton of fun locally.

Not worth it just to play Skyrim

Does it let you use her abilities? or are you still using Geralts?

oh if u get her powers that's pretty cool

Apparently, yes you can.
I haven't tried the mod myself.

I pulled the trigger on Undertale, but can only buy one other game, I'm torn between FF Type-0, Life is Strange, The Talos Principle or Rebel Galaxy. I'm kinda looking for a fun game maybe with an interesting storyline, soemthing that will keep me glued to the screen.

Get Life is Strange.

Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death
Super Time Force Ultra
Crypt of the NecroDancer
Black Mesa
Blood
Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut
Deathstate
Dungeon Souls

Final haul. Wanted BloodLust Shadowhunter, but I likely wouldn't get to play it for a while so I may as well wait for it to get cheaper. Nice haul I think...

I think it managed to do what the Halo Spartan Assault games failed to do. Also the fact that visually it reminds me of Destiny is just the icing on top. (The fact that Destiny disappointed me and now I get to play something that look like it but better)

This War of Mine just kind of.....starts, doesn't it?

I have no idea what I'm trying to do here.
Just survive, find food, items, trade, make hard decisions. Just to see how long you can last.

For a buck I guess I should try Revelations 2 Episode 1. I'm still unsure about it, but I've got all this Steam credit lying around from all those extra cards I sold.

Finished the sale spending about $60 on 9 wishlist games, adding 12 more to the list for the future and getting a Steam controller. All mostly for Dota bucks. Can't complain.

Mad Max or Sleeping Dogs?

I want to kick ass in interesting environments.

I loved both greatly but it depends on what interests you. If you want martial arts action in a hong kong story in a neon lights city get Sleeping Dogs. If you are a huge Mad Max fan, like the post apocalyptic wasteland and want a kick ass Mad Max game (and don't mind Ubisoft style collectibles) get Mad Max.

You're probably better off getting Sleeping Dogs now as it's much cheaper though and then picking up Mad Max another day.

Got Life is Strange thanks guys. Though I was kinda hoping for something more action-oriented but it's ok, I generally don't play those games that long before getting bored. I'll wait for a discount on DQ: Heroes.
BTW, Undertale is completely charming from the get-go IMO.

Yeah it's really easy to deal with and depending on how you play you often don't need to deal with them. Most heroes have attacks that can reach second and third rows and rear row enemies tend to be easy enough for the ranged heroes to take out too.

The angry reviews are a result of the early access model, some players got used to the game being one way, the devs added features which changed that so those players got upset. It's just a shame that the players don't feel that contacting the devs directly would have helped to provide feedback and they took to writing harsh reviews so get their result.

It's an awesome game. and if you're remotely interested in it I am sure you will enjoy it.

You explain it better than what I could, IMO the game have the most currently misleading review page on Steam.

You made the right choice.

The more action-oriented Life is Strange is called Remember Me. (DONTNOD's previous game) It's not a good action game, but still worth playing.

Try surviving. It's not as easy as it might seem... especially if you're not a monster.

Some might say it's the Dark Souls of indie games.

Sometimes you're a monster even when you're trying not to be.

I really need to play more of TWOM one of these days

I seriously don't get Garry's Mod. At all.

Fuck about with getting Ragdolls to sit in sandbox mode. Okay. I get that. I guess I can see the fun if you want to mess about with ragdolls there. *shrug* But the various "game modes" that I've tried either 1) control awful 2) are poorly thought out or 3) 1+2.

I paid $2.50 for this a two years ago and I guess I could get a Steam Refund for it, but I don't really want to get a refund for something just because I don't get it. :/ Live and learn, I guess.

ok i love pillars of eternity

but what you find at the end of the keep megadungeon is kind of bullshit

That fight's uber fun though. I loved battering my head against it for a few hours, cheesing my way through it and eventually getting lucky.

I think someone in the |OT| called it the hardest battle in the game (pre-expansion). Having beaten the final boss, I shudder to imagine it.
it's just a really bad fight so far, you can have your whole party oneshot at the start in one attack -___-

doesn't feel very fun to me cos i don't even know how to deal with it

i'm doing the whole "talk yourself into being able to walk around and kill the regular enemies first" thing but i'm still getting oneshot

The game gets easier when you have the right tools, shock baton for the androids, and flamethrower for the alien (gun is simply too loud), but just when you thought you could handle yourself, the game hits you back in full force.

Final boss was all kinds of bullshit, the open terrain made every formation useless.

I was also locked and I have no idea why, I have been buying stuff via the steam store since forever.
Funnily enough I could still sell the event card drops I got via enhaced steam quick sell. Hope I don't get in trouble for that, lol.

Yeah I even tried the quick sell too lol just to cut my loses but it didn't work for me.

Ethan Carter was fun to split up over a couple nights. Definitely worth a play - story is interesting and has a few puzzles to make it more than a walking simulator.

The Xenomorph was effective for me for the first few hours, but after a while, I just found the deaths as a minor inconvenience rather than effective scares. Not to say Isolation wasn't good at keeping up the tension, but Amnesia did a better job at keeping me on edge

so how many new people did we stick in here for good as a result of this thread? :3

Negative 3

yeah fuck that andra dragon

would be less annoying if the load times were faster on my computer but too much rng for my taste

maybe i'll try again with the level cap from the dlc

Can anyone chime in on Azure Striker Gunvolt? Been interested in it but I heard complaints about the pc port being bad or something. Should I get it for 3ds instead?

Seriously, this game is nothing for the feint of heart.

The thing for me about AI was that the environment was so sterile that it never made me scared. I knew that there could be a jump scare coming up, but overall it was just sneaking around like any other stealth game. Make a wrong move and you get a tail through the chest, after the first time it's just "oh well". There's nothing in the bulk of the game to really creep me out.

On the other hand, Evil Within, which came out right about the same time, creeped me the hell out. Quality of the game aside, there's just all sorts of crazy shit in that game that kept me on edge the whole time.

It's kind of funny because I'm generally pretty selective with which horror games I play because they make me too tense. As I mentioned I had to drop Outlast right at the start. I wouldn't touch PT and won't go near Amnesia. I'm really interested in Soma, but I want to get it cheap just in case. But Alien? Nothing.

I'm going to wait till the sun goes down to tackle the second half of Stasis tonight. What new and interesting ways will I find to kill myself? Couldn't work out how to kill myself with the wet toilet towel though. :(

There are better graphic options now u can choose from
I been too busy with a few other games to play it myself ^^;

Scrolls of Paralysis is how I did it. That's how I cheesed the fight, by just getting lucky with those and wailing on it for a while.

If you've talked to the dragon, you can also
go find the Dragonslayer she wants to possess and tell her the truth. You'll get a very helpful ability called Scale Breaker.
