Yea, warrior can only use 2h weapons, and also is limited to using only 3 skills at a time (all other classes have 6 available)A fighter changing class to a warrior loses their shield right?
I have a very important question. Someone can explain me the benefits of picking a basic vocation?
Also, what skills are carried over when you change your vocation?
I just dont understand why anyone would pick a basic vocation considering you have the advanced ones open from the get-go.
If anyone has a simple understandable guide please, I'm in need.
Well, you don't lose the shield, just the ability to use it.
If a fighter has an attack that assassin doesn't, assassin won't be able to use it at all.
For example: Mage has Anodyne, the healing spell. Sorcerer does not naturally have Anodyne, and thus cannot use it at all.
Basic vocations aren't worse than advanced vocations, just different. Advanced vocations are combinations of the basic vocations, but they don't carry over all the same abilities as basic vocations.
Here's one example: the mage is a basic class, and the wizard is an advanced class. The wizard has much better offensive spells than the mage, however wizards can't use healing spells and has far fewer support spells.
As for what transfers: Any augment(passive abilities that have limited equippable slots) can be slotted by any class, some weapon skills transfer between classes with the same weapons(E.G. some 1-h sword skills are shared between fighter and Assassin, some spells between mage and wizard), passive weapon skills also transfer(like combo extenders, double jump etc.)
Damn.
This is precisely what I want to know. If I buy all the available sword skills on the assasin and then I switch to warrior, will I find any different available skill on the sword tab or I will only have new class-specific skills?
Even if it sounds ridiculously precise it's paramount on the starting choice (Soren).

The worldwide unlock time is 9 AM Pacific tomorrow...shouldn't the countdown be 22 Hours and 30 Minutes from now? Right now the timer is set to what would be 10 AM Pacific.

Magic Knight can use shields if you wanted to go with a class that can. That being said, you should feel free to switch back to Fighter, as it isn't a gimped class or anything.
The only things that a warrior and assassin will be able to share skill-wise are augments(slotted passives). They don't use the same weapons.
To anyone who played as a warrior, is the 3 skills limit ok (balance wise) as it is or would it be better with a 6 skills mod? It seems to me that the warrior would be OP if he had 6 skills, otherwise I could explain why Capcom made it like that.
Yeah I'll probably just go with the fighter, changing classes to pick up a few skills

The Warrior has some really nice health augments that transfer, so you'll probably want to give it a shot for awhile when you have a chance.
I found 3 fine. All the other classes save mage/wizard only get 3 per weapon anyway.

Typically the first few levels have shared skills. If you really want to min-max it out to make sure your starting choice is the most "worthwhile" I'd recommend looking at the wiki for the game. They outline all the skills and shit.
That said, you'll probably find a mix of skills you already have and ones you need to buy. You won't have to re-purchase any skills you already know, though.
Also, yeah. Warrior and Assassin don't share any weapons. Assassin and Fighter do. It's a bit pedantic, but the distinction is important.

Sorry, I meant fighter or mystic knight, or any other sword-capable vocation. My point is if different vocations have different basic weapon skills available or once you master the sword tree on a vocation you dont have any other skill to buy for the other classes that also use that weapon type.
Do y'all think that is will be possible to mod a Fighter class to be able to equip 2 sets of abilities? Both R1 and L1 sets?

I played MA on ps3 and it was just as fun as it sounded.

I can't remember, are friends only useful for free pawns or were there other reasons to have them?
Im still unsure whether I should by this or not. It seems a little too combat-focused and I might get bored unless the combat is as tight as Dark Souls.
If they do make a mod, just stick the other 3 with the support skills. There's like the taunt, the one called Blade Ladder which you can use to launch allies high, that sort of thing.
What is up with every gif showing off cool shit being made for ants?
Every class will have unique weapon skills, but there will also be some shared weapon skills. You'll find a lot of sword skills that can be used by the Assassin, Mystic Knight, and Fighter that are shared, but there will be other skills that aren't.
Different vocations have different basic weapons skills AND share some. For example: Mystic Knight has Great Cannon on it's sword skill. No other class has that, so they won't get to use Great Cannon. Mystic Knight also has Blitz Strike. Fighter and Assassin can use Blitz Strike, so they'll have it available when you swap to them.
Damn.

LOL. Grab a badguy leap off a cliff, drop him, levitate down. I am not sure that was supposed to work that way. But it just did.

Calling a PC version definitive is just redundant.
I'm making my character Geralt and Triss will be my pawn. Been my plan for a while, gonna spend hours perfecting them.
you guys getting me excited for Magic Archer
wheres mah OT at?
Geralt should be the pawn given the sort of muted nature of them matches up with his own.

My friends list is now full and I can't do anything about it at the moment since my account is restricted, so I apologise in advance to those who send me friends requests I can't yet accept.
Yeah, no kidding. I was dead set on Assassin but all this MA hype is getting to me. Does the game have any kind of autoaim for bows? I'm not exactly a fan of bow gameplay on the gamepad.
It tends to be compared with Souls game in quality of combat, but they're not similar. It's a very VERY fun combat system though.

I've bought it, I caved. Any ideas how I can get the digital download art book on steam?
