Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Steam pre-order is LIVE

is there any place that has a consolidated library of created faces (with info on how to make them)?

Also, I played a male character last time, so thinking of making female this time. How is the warrior type armor for females? Is it the same as the male versions? Completely separate? And is there any way to get the armor of the female NPC knight with the short dark hair (forgot her name)?

anyone on these?

If I recall you can get Mercedes' armor

Originally it was paid DLC, however with DA you could buy it someplace in the game

Mercedes' armor is available to buy in game, but its stats aren't anything special so it's more for style than anything. Warrior armor is the same for males and females, IIRC.

Armor is the same across both sexes for all, if not most if that's what you're asking. Metal armor isn't gonna be skimpy if a female equips it. There is female exclusive armor in the game which can range. One of which is essentially a thong.

You will see assloads of player pawns with this thong in the coming weeks. The pun is necessary.

can't find anything, to be fair once it releases on PC there should be more than enough folks posting builds. When I build my Geralt and Triss as close as possible as I can I'll post their face/body builds in the OT.

Sounds great! I only found one from Google: https://www.google.com/search?q=ger...hXHdR4KHb42DR0Q_AUIBygB#imgrc=F16fIoOaXm1UiM:

It's decent enough for me (I like the Zoltan character model), but I believe you could do something better. So yeah, please take your time. I can wait patiently for the superior Geralt and Triss.

Should just be a matter of backing up a single save file. Swapping in/out as you need.

Not sure how it will handle the pawn system.

Pawns have no problems with this, the server just gets updated with your current one, however you will get a temporary trade ban, and any items you send in this period will turn into rocks.

I got mine from GMG, how do I preload?

It just says download - then goes to a page "this game is not available for download yet".

its a steam key, you use that steam key on steam, and then preload on steam

it's a worldwide unlock...no country gets it before any other

As a heads up, pawns can not be hybrid vocations like magick archer.

Yeah, my main debate is between a fighter or ranger pawn. Mainly it's an RP thing, When my pawn was a sorcerer when I first played she felt less like a companion. Looking for a more partner-ish relationship this time 'round.

Does anyone know if it's gonna have proper SLI support? I know MT Framework games usually do but Revelations 2 didn't have any (AFR2 doesn't count).

Go fighter. Pawns are better as tanks than as casters, in my experience.

I usually go with the reverse.

If I play a caster, that means I'm responsible for making sure everyone's weapons are enchanted, plus I have to twiddle my thumbs while charging up for the huge attack-spells.

With pawns on casting duty, I can focus on protecting them, going after the boss, and generally being more active in combat situations.

Do the Pawns/NPCs actually tank and hold aggro on monsters? I'm not sure if I want to create a fighter or ranger for myself. I was thinking going ranger and having my pawn as a tank. Then, pick up a mage and someone else to round out the party.

What they do depends on their inclinations. For instance typically for a fighter pawn one might want Scather to attack the biggest enemy around. A pawn tank works great with the right inclinations. I want to say it could be something around scather/guardian, but I'm not sure.

what about the gear?

did I not read bows were awful in DD?
Oh, you sweet summer child.

Tenfold Flurry x blast arrows in a weak spot = OHKO some bosses XD

To anyone who played as a warrior, is the 3 skills limit ok as it is (balance wise) or would it be better with a 6 skills mod? It seems to me that the warrior would be OP if he had 6 skills, otherwise I could explain why Capcom made it like that.
3 is just fine really.
I disagree. Warrior is gimped as shit. They can't block, they can't roll-dodge, they can't double jump, they can't levitate, they can't use weapon skills when grabbing an enemy, and they only get 3 skills. That is some BS, really, and makes them the worst vocation by far. I only use warrior to unlock Augments like Clout, after that they go bye bye. I hope someone somehow mods the game to ungimp them.

Mostly similar. There are some female-exclusive outfits (usually stupid shit like lingerie or pareos) but unisex armour is generally the same. If your character has large breasts, you might see the armour getting some slight boobplate effect but it's minor, I suspect it's just the rendering engine trying to sort of form-fit the armour to the body you created (since you have so many different body types).

You can get Mercedes's armour, but it's kind of crappy, and doesn't look that good (it would if it weren't for that stupid boobplate :( sigh). I think it was DLC but now all DLCs are included so you can probably buy it, I'm guessing at the Black Cat.

Ahem... I take it you don't remember the Silver Chestplate:

SMH, Capcom.
The bad part is that this piece actually has good stats, and will likely be worth equipping for a while. The good part is that it's actually categorized as "clothing" (like padding, gambesons etc.) so you can hide it with an actual proper armour. Phew...

if the character thread is anything like any other character thread on GAF, it'll be filled with people posting their half naked women. Hopefully there's just as many funny and cool looking characters.
