I've been behind Suicide Squad 100% of the way. Still a few things I'm hesitant about, but I thought Harley was a lot better here than in the teaser, and had less of a focus to boot, which resolves a lot of my earlier problems.

It feels a lot like Guardians of the Galaxy - a gritty-but-goofy, nihilistic twist on the superhero formula. Can't wait.

I agree, except I think this has the chance to surpass GotG because we're already familiar with a couple of the characters, and because the SS are actually bad guys, not just low level thugs with hearts of gold like GotG.

Wayne's World made it almost impossible to have Bohemian Rhapsody in a future movie, but I'm fine with it in a trailer. It's better than the bass stuff in Nolan movies or the metal shrieks in Transformers type action movies.

I forgot where I read it, but I recall hearing that WB tends to have somewhat of a 'hands off' approach to their projects. Obviously, a major movie studio investing millions in a film is going to stipulate some measure of control but they tend to let their creators get pretty....creative. They're my favorite studio.

They do dumb ass shit like Jupiter Ascending, Pan, and that stupid Tarzan movie, then they do shit like Creed, Mad Max, Edge of Tomorrow, etc etc etc

But it totally works in context of the concept of The Suicide Squad, too. I found it great.

People were really obsessed with how 'dark' man of steel was, even though most of it took place during day time.
BvS on the other hand, is entirely shot during the night time apparently.

You need to put the bowl down. Dr Strange will not beat BvS unless you're talking review scores. Strange will struggle to not be the lowest box office draw of the MCU. Until Inhumans is releases that is. Suicide Squad looks better than BvS but I don't think it'll outperform it either.
