That was just kinda sad, it really was just mad libs using talking points from 8 years ago. Her community organizer slam makes even less sense now than it did in 2008.

"He packs up the teleprompters, and the selfie sticks, and the greek columns and all that hopey changey stuff..."

Like right off the get go. What are you saying.

Why would he remove fixtures from the White House which presumably the next person in office would need?

I'd probably seriously consider voting for Trump/Palin ticket just for the comedy material. That Palin speech was hilarious.

I think Stephen's bit was more comprehensible than whatever she said.

Fuck me. That was hard to watch. Trump was standing there like he was hoping if he didn't move she wouldn't notice him and walk away.
Murica, you sooooo cray cray.

Did anyone watch Trump's face while she was talking, even he was like "wtf is she talking about?" and then random awkward smile whenever she was done rambling.

I was wondering that myself, maybe because Trump doesn't use them? Bat shit insanity can't be understood anyways.

Back in 2008, one of the narratives that the GOP wanted to push about Obama is that he was an elitist, arrogant person who was already presuming that he would become president (it would serve as a nice contrast with the "humble war hero" narrative for McCain if they could make it stick). And so when the stage was being built in the Denver stadium, conservative commentators noticed that it was being set up rather elaborately, with Greek columns and whatnot. And of course, that fed into the desired negative narrative and so they went after him with it.

Here's an article describing the stage (not necessarily attacking him for it - just describing it):

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-politics-obama-stadium-idUSN2636979020080826

And here's a New York Post article criticizing him for it:

http://nypost.com/2008/08/28/temple-of-dem-on-mt-o-lympus/

A snippet from that article:

“It’s only appropriate that Barack Obama would descend down from the heavens and spend a little time with us mere mortals when accepting the Democratic nomination,” said Republican National Committee spokesman Danny Diaz.

And here's a picture of a part of it:

Watching it on television, the set looked great - as if he was delivering a night-time address from just outside the west wing...

Hmmm, okay but that was 8 years ago he's the President now so referring to Greek Columns now could only refer to those that stand at the front of the White House and what about the teleprompters? Oh fuck it, she doesn't use logic so why should we?

Sarah Palin reminded me of that scene in FInding Nemo where Marlin is like "its like hes trying to tell me something I know it"

Also Trump looked confused/worried as well.

? I'm not saying that it makes sense. I'm saying that's what she's clearly referring to, whether it made sense to do so or not.

It took on a new type of crazy for my wife just now because she could only hear the audio and didn't realize it was an edited montage lol

Holy shit at the rapid fire clips of stupidity at the 3 minute mark. Be careful people, we haven't had this pure Palin in a while. Don't hurt yourself thinking you can handle as much as you used to.
