Valkyria Azure Revolution Extended Trailer [for topics Soriku doesn't like]

It's not the size of her breasts that's the problem, it's the way they lay. It looks incredibly unnatural, kind of like the gravity-defying breasts of Devil Survivor 2. People react to ill-proportioned and anatomically-suspect designs all the time, but the only time people dismiss it as "outrage" is in cases like this. I know a certain sect of individuals can't tolerate any criticism of female character designs, but you're going to have to learn to start.

We've had these discussions before. Maybe create a dedicated thread instead of derailing yet another one.

This thread is about the extended teaser and music making of. Except no one is talking about these things.

Thanks for the fullscreen gif. Very polite.

I wonder what kind of impact this might have on how the story is told. I'd assume that like in VC, there are certain core story-essential characters that can't perma-die. But that means there will be secondary/tertiary(?) characters that can die. So whatever impact or interaction they can have on the story would have to be rather minimal such that the story can proceed just fine with or without them.

That wasn't so much of a problem in VC when most of your squad is essentially the same body with different heads and they don't really matter. In a more traditional RPG I wonder how that will work.

Right, that's pretty much the only way you can handle permadeath properly while still holding a good story. I'm going to guess that every character revealed on the website will not be able to die permanently.

Of course they could say screw the story, but...

I'm all in for the boobs.

Now I want to get into Valkyria. I got the first on Steam recently. And that glorious life makes me want to start it.

I'm confused? it's this the thread were we can talk about how absurd her breasts are? even when this is the series that has Selvaria?

I'm going with the idea that they're not boobs but rather alien egg sacks that she will eventually give birth from, and at some point during the campaign she'll just knell over and two little creatures will burst forth and terrorize the battlefield, and she'll scream for joy that she can now stand upright and immediately joins the good guys.

When I first saw Selvaria I immediately thought about that Home Improvement episode where they get the software that lets them preview what plastic surgery would look like on the wife. 'More and more torpedo shaped' was the line that sprang to mind.

I wonder why they always go for the water balloon anyway? Is this the result of some number crunching after thorough QA testing?

Like I'd like to sit in on one of their mammary meetings some day, I can already see them huddled together in some dark room deliberating about this deep level of character design with grave expressions while choking out their ideas through a thick fog of cigar smoke.

Anime boobs are serious business, and its clear they've put a lot of thought into it.

This would have been one of my most anticipated games if they didn't change the combat system. Now i am just curious and might pick it up if i hear good things.

They most likely saw that episode too considering some of her more recent interpretation of the character:

He's an H artist. Those guys (and gals), are always trying to push the boundaries. :P

I'm well aware of his fondness for sticking overly large water balloons on skeletons, yes. I have no more qualms with his style any more than I have qualms with Hyung Tae Kim insisting everyone he draws be covered in oil head to toe.

Its not Selvaria and she's not even designed by Raita in this so....

This is what gets me the most. I can understand if it was Raita's love for the character that keeps bringing some permutation of Selvaria back throughout the VC games and now.

Eh, but fuck it, I guess. It has "Valkyria" in the name, and I guess all Valkyria now have to look like Selvaria, even if it's not the same universe.

Edit: If the game is, indeed, a prequel, then I take back all of the above.
