Do you count AA as part of the "highest" settings ?
Just basic post AA like FXAA or SMAA whichever is there.

Yeah my overclocked 3570K is going to start showing its age soon, if it hasn't already.
Where can I get this for a good discount? I loved it on Xbox, and will definitely double dip for the right price.

Outside of Unity if you played that I don't think it has.

I think mine already has :/
Hardly any games stay with a stable frame rate for me and it's the only part of my system I can think is the issue.
My 980 is fine and i've 16GB RAM and my machine can't even handle Borderlands with Physx on high 60FPS and drops a hell of a lot for example.
Upgrading is gonna cost a new mobo, CPU and windows though ><
People have been selling the NewEgg price error codes for $20-30 in the BST thread.

Probably the cheapest you'll see it anytime soon.
Doesn't seem to have been many selling it in there lately.
If you want it for about $30 you can get it on various key selling sites. It's usually around $31-32.

Did I just hear someone say "a new thing called anisotropic filtering"? Guys, which year am I in?
Yeah, I got a key from gamesdeal.com for 28 (~31$).
Apparently this is sorted by R, so the game won't be clustered along with the rest of the Tomb Raider games in Steam. I blame SE for this, since they do this with all their Final Fantasy games as well, so the whole series is scattered across one's Steam library.
Have you isolated the CPU as being the issue? Many games are simply poorly optimized regardless of specs.
Also, PhysX in BL is very demanding.

It was running on Nvidia supplied PCs. So I'm assuming top of the line hardware.
Still, I ended up stopping for a second just to admire a waterfall that was kicking up vapor and a small rainbow that formed overheard. First thought in my mind was "where's the screenshot button?"
If you have the hardware, the game seems to be able to take advantage of it from what I could tell during my admittedly limited play time.
I can't see it being anything else really, I thought my RIG would get me at least high with everything for a bit.
so it's normal? maybe I am just over estimating my PC
Anyways, if SLI scales in this game like it did in the first then 2x DSR should be doable![]()
Yep, can't wait to see it running on my rig.
I fully played reboot with 3d-vision and it was amazing. I'll try enabling 3d with Rise too.
And if it doesn't work, well, it's going to be 4k xD
My 980tis are ready.
Did you get the key straight away? I'm just skeptical about sites I've never used with such low prices.
Isn't 3D Vision pretty much dead ? I don't see it being supported although it's cool tech.
NVIDIA are still constantly updating 3D vision profiles for new games and old if you check release notes for driver updates, so they still dedicate some man power to it.
I dunno what the quality of that support is, but there seems to still be some activity around it.

Not necessarily a new mobo, if you can track a 3770k down, that will give you 8 cores (4 virtual) I love mine for gaming.
For some reason the skin in this shot doesn't look too good, it doesn't seem to be letting much light through

Oh yeah, there are some shots where it looks fantasticNot all skin shaders work perfectly under all conditions sadly, but other shots show off that it is pretty decent. Also, she could oily/wet/whatever there technically. I have no idea.
They cost as much as a new i7. Used ivy bridge and sandybridge go for a ton.
Just an FYI to anyone looking.
Haha.It looks really good for a game, but I just spent 3 hours going through a 300 slide presentation on skin/eye rendering so I can't help pick up on all the issues![]()

The 3D they're adding is compatability mode 3D, not true 3D tho. It basically does some weird thing with the depth buffer to shift a single rendered image 2 ways. It gives off a cut out book type of effect that only really works with inward screen depth.
Real 3D takes twice as much GPU processing (since it's rendering each scene twice), but looks significantly better, and supports pop in and out, while actually generating new information per eye.
The 3D vision community is constantly working on games and creating 3D profiles for them though, which is another great case of PC enthusiasts working towards fixing and improving games.
Holy.....
What of i tell you i have one more? Lol
