Steph Curry Supernova

Sat down to watch the game tonight... Curry is just fucking ridiculous, it's unfair. The team as a whole is just so fun to watch.

Where does he get so much strength to shoot like that? He doesn't even jump much and he doesn't look that strong lol. It's pretty ridiculous.

I don't think he surpasses LeBron James or Jordan.

James and Jordan were also very good one on one defenders. James IMO is the most complete player the NBA has ever seen.

That said, if what the rumblings around Blatt's firing were true, I think Curry is the better player to build around. LeBron just comes with a ridiculous amount of baggage.

That shit there.. Shaking one of the best defenders in the West without the damn ball then dropping a 3 in his face effortlessly.

We need Stern back to 'Basketball Reasons' this team they way he stopped CP3 from joining the Lakers. Just bust these dudes up, they are breaking the game.

I don't think he surpasses LeBron James or Jordan.

Well definitely not yet. You have to do this level of play for many seasons to enter the conversation with the greats. Kobe, Jordan, Bron, Magic, Duncan and all those guys did it for a loooong time. But this is a good path Curry is on, thats for sure.

To me he already has. What's the argument for Lebron at this point? Curry is fucking broken. He is damn near the perfect winning machine. Even though he is an athletic freak of nature, Lebron has more flaws than Steph as a player.

Eh, even after last years finals, I still think Lebron is better.

Curry is ridiculous and is a force to be reckoned with, however I feel like we don't give his squad enough credit. They're just such a well built unit, especially for him. Curry was dropping 50 in games when his team with garbage years ago, but even with that I feel like Lebron is a more dominant player. Most teams in the East are just a Lebron away from a Final, I don't think you can just plug Curry anywhere like that. He's a special player for sure, and is just amazing to watch though.

Lebron's athleticism and build makes up for a lot of his flaws as a basketball player imo.

Lebron's shot is too streaky imo, I do think he's a complete player, but it's hard for me to say that he's on top in that regard.

When teams smell him bricking, they pretty much go in for the kill, and it really shows when he lacks confidence in his shot because he starts doing some asinine shit (see Mavs Finals).

Since this thread is about Curry, I'd like to say that I hope he shatters every shooting record placed before him.

yep he is pretty good. After watching todays game, I realise that the back to back championship is now a formality.

Jordan still well ahead of anyone I have seen though. I feel sorry for those too young to remember not just the player he was, but his impact on the game was something that noone else has come close to matching.

Kawhi is almost the MVP for his defense and Curry made him look like a D-League player. He's just on another level.

GS is sick now that they're playing with an edge. Before it was like, we think we're really good, and now they play like, we know we're better than everyone and we're going to murder you.

It was everywhere defense was more physical. On ball and off. The problem with a guy like Curry would of been the beating his body would take. In the video below imagine Curry fighting off ball while guys like Lambeer choke hold him and another guy is roughing him up. Curry would also have struggled mightily entering the league. The defense he played when he entered the league would of made him a huge liability. Imagine Curry guarding a physical guard that can post him up with no 5 second rule? Then on the other end hand check, grab, push and bang him around. His frame would of been a huge target for these physical defenders.

Look how much space freaking jordan gets though.
This would be an instant 3 pointer from curry

Good luck giving Curry that much space lol

Curry probably 85%+ with that much space.

What most casuals don't realize is that his shooting compromises the entire way a defense wants to play. The shape of where players are on the floor changes in a revolutionary way.

Warriors are just running their offense/defense every night. It's the other teams that can't keep up.

Fun to watch while I suffer through my team's decade in the wilderness.

:(

Jordan earned that space though. His superpower was the ability to finish at the rim, so teams were trying to keep him away from the rim at all costs.

Curry's superpower is the 3 ball. Completely different skill set to defend. (this isn't to say that Curry can't finish at the rim, because he can. But not like Mike... not even close)
