Opponent crowds can't even get mad watching shit like that clip. The crowd is just laughing because how can you hate that skill.

I guess he needed to make up for the last 2 low scoring games.

Low key fan of Wizards so Curry can play the 4th, break that record Chef Curry!

His team needs to get him the ball though ffs

Now that Curry is clearly the best player in the league and perceived as an unstoppable force, I'm curious to see how defenses adjust next season when they've had an entire off season to reflect on the ass whoopings Curry gave them. Although he played excellent last season, he's unstoppable this season. Will there be a kind of Curry Rules next year?

What the hell Kerr, let the man get his record. Guys drops 9 3s in the first half and his plan for the second half is to give the rest of the team the ball. Let him chuck him ffs. He finishes with 11 and doesn't even tie the record.

Meh

Meh

i much rather get the whole team in the game than him chase some record

he probably feels the same way too

John Wall just dropped 41 points and 11 assists, his team scored 120, and it still wasn't even enough to make it a competitive game.

Ridiculous.

I don't know what they'd be. You couldn't base them on the Jordan Rules. The league doesn't allow anything near that level of physicality anymore, and even if they did, the rules were basically

1) If he comes in the lane, kill him.
2) Make him give it to that headcase Pippen.

What would the equivalent be for Curry? Clotheslining him as soon as he crosses half court and hope he still doesn't get a 4-point play off of it? It's not like he doesn't have minimum three other players who can kill your team from deep as well.

He never shot another 3 after he made his 11th. And he had like 3 minutes to do it, a few good looks, and about 1:45 of garbage time >:(

Most disappointing 51 point game ever.

Has anyone actually analyzed how Curry shoots as well as he does? He literally has more range then anyone else who has ever played the game. What makes his shot so special?

i dont know what broadcast agreements are in place but its ridiculous to me that more/all warriors games are not nationally televised. i barely watch the nba, but i would watch curry every night.

edit: holy shit. 51 pts on 27 fga. that is a pretty efficient night. unreal.

Warriors have been THE team to get league pass for over the last few seasons. The 49$ end of season package should b up soon if not already available

They and the Cavs both have the most this year at 25.

One problem is that every team has to be televised once. And there's some kind of balance thing in there for conferences or divisions or something I forget.

51 Pts, 20/27 FG (10-15 3P FG), 8 ast, 7 reb, 1/1 FT in 34 minutes.

92.9 TS%

And a half court shot.

That's some bullshit tho.

I don't have experience with NBA 2K but why is/was 3 point cheese a thing? Is it that difficult to code the success rate of 3 pointers to match what happens in real life (or, well, happened before Curry)?

got to see this guy play at the All Star game. took a last second shot at the end of the game from near half court just because the crowd cheered for it, and he made it :P

awesome player to see live.

In real life there's various things that limit three point specialists from taking every shot.

In a video game, there isn't, so you can just pass to one and jack it up over and over.

You want to prevent that, but still have any decent three point guy wide open in the corner bury it half the time.

As an example in the article, the one thing 2K did was drastically limit off the dribble threes. This generally isn't an issue except on the margins, so it makes for a nice quick fix. Curry refuses to participate in this bell curve.

Nope, he's Alex Ovechkin, who's also leading the league, and has his team off to the best record in NHL history through 59 games.

So the Warriors aren't the only club chasing history this season.
You can't compare a player who most in the wider public actually heard of though. It isn't purely stats. Everyone knows who Sephora Curry is. He broke through, he became part of the wider culture. Overchkin? Not at all. Part of what Curry is doing is how he broke through. Everybody knows what he is doing, he has impressed the world.

So is Curry officially having the greatest individual season any athlete has ever had?

Not even close. Gretzky's single season record is 215 pts. The next closest non-Gretz season is Mario Lemieux in 5th with 199 pts. Steve Yzerman is the first non Gretz/Mario in 14th at a relatively paltry 155 pts.

Don Bradman the cricketer has what's generally accepted as the most out-of-wack WTF performance in team sports, but I don't really understand that game. They say he's better than Gretzky was at hockey over his run.

Well, he's impressed America at least. And hockey has a small pond, to be sure, but in Canada, the Caps are making huge noise.
