I got a question for the Canadians with Teksavvy. I was wondering if anyone has any experience calling them to try to get a deal better than what's offered.

I wanted to go up to their 30/5Mbps internet in preparation for Street Fighter 5, but I was wondering if I'd be wasting my time calling them to try to get a better deal. They're already pretty cheap.

Yeah I was on their old 28/1 plan which was more expensive than their 30/1 plan.

I actually had to upgrade my plan to their 100/10 because my modem's firmware had expired so I had connection issues... which meant I had to buy a new modem. Was pretty annoyed about that. But the cost for the 100/10 plan was only like $20 more after tax I think.

This Division Beta Code thing is getting silly. I got my code from Amazon, and registered it in the Ubi site. At what point to I get an actual PSN code to download the client?

I was getting 250 mbps down, 20 mbps upload for $53 all included unlimited at Rogers. Now I'm getting 100 mbps download, 10 mbps up for $63.

Could be like me, where Rogers isn't an option.

I live in eastern Ontario where it's Cogeco country. From Cogeco their 60 mbps / 10 mbps unlimited would cost me $106.95 (after a $16 a month discount for the first six months runs out)

Teksavvy for 55 mbps / 10 mbps unlimited it would be $79.95.

Are you sure you can't see it on your ps4? In my case I had a code for the PC beta, registered it on the division website and got the email saying they would email me a code when preload would be available but I didn't even need one as it was automatically added on my uplay account. I logged on uplay and it started to download.

Also, it seems like Rogers home internet is getting a little bit cheaper. At least what I heard from some. You can get the 100/10 Unlimited for 59.99 and lock for 2 years.

It's even worse in my case because the company that manages my building only allows you to get Bell or some other shit-tier company (I forgot the name). And yeah it's legal apparently.

so apparently the new 3ds xl fire emblem fates edition is still in stock on bestbuy.ca, which feels weird, i assume it would have sold out fast like ebgames

When someone cancels on Best Buy does it go right up? Or do they hold them to sell close to release. There is usually some stock that goes up of just about anything just before release.
 
All the parts of my new PC have officially arrived... with the exception of the video card.

damn you gtx 980 ti why do you gotta be $850? why can't you drop in price? DROP DAMN YOU ; _ ;

I have two copies from 2 store (amazon and BB). I ordered two since some stores don't package their stuff properly, I usually return one. Most of the time they arrive in perfect condition but sometimes they don't. If you can't get it by then and if it's not damaged by shipment you can buy it off me if you want. Also only if you're in downtown toronto and can meet up around university ave. I'm on a tight budget with all the stuff coming out I can't travel far so no TTC for me lol. Nintendo's breaking my budget one month at a time.

Is there a place to buy cheaper ink cartridges? $25 for a HP 62 cartridge that lasts a couple of months is pretty expensive.

I drilled a hole in my ink cartridge and I just inject it with new ink when it runs out lol. It's a Canon printer though. I think at the time it was $10 for the kit (ink, drill, syringe). It came with enough ink for a stupid amount of refills.

850 is actually pretty good, many places have it quite a bit more than that.

I sent the their customer service a billion emails, one of the agent told me he would look into it personally and get back to me in 2-3 days. Which was suppose to be yesterday... Never happen. I recommand more ppl to contact them until we get a clear answers, yes or no. Make sure you tell them official release date is set next Tuesday.

I set up an repair for tomorrow and have a few questions. I can't get apple support chat to work right now.

If I'm using iOS 9.3 beta, do I need to revert back to a stable release before the repair? My issue is LCD ghosting. Can I just let the Apple store do the reverting for me?

I think they are model-specific. I just did a search for the ink you wanted in ebay and got these results. I'd make sure it says it'll work with your specific printer before ordering though.

With my printer after refilling it has a permanent low ink warning but it prints fine. I have never tried it with any other printer so I can't make any promises but it is very, very cheap to do it this way if it works for you.

This is a Sony issue I'm guessing, Amazon is usually super quick to put things up if they are going to. The reps can't do much but pass on the request to higher-ups, but they can't really do anything if Sony isn't going to provide the product sadly

Many times.

They can help you, sure. As long as it's a legit beta then it's Apple's program and they can support you pretty easily. They may or may not ask to revert; but here's how the script usually goes:

1. Ask you about the problem
2. They will try / ask you to repro
3. They will run diagnostics
4. They will ask if you have a backup on iCloud

^ This is the important step. Have your stuff backed up because you need to be ready for the possibility you will be leaving with a wiped phone or will be hanging around the store waiting to redownload the basics over wifi.

5. If diagnostics shows a hardware problem, then the appointment pretty much stops there. They'll give you some options - depending on if you have an active warranty/Applecare or not - and you can decide what, if anything to do.

Most stores now do in-store repairs so if they need to replace the screen they will actually set up a time for you to come back (I heard some stores offer loaners in the meantime, but I haven't seen it happen personally?) If it's sufficiently bad they will tombstone it and give you a refurb on the spot. Apple refurbs are awesome so basically you're getting a new phone. (They used to do this a lot more quickly until they did in-store repair)

6. Everyone asks, but you will never get a phone except for the same config as the one you brought in. Even if it's the iPhone 4. They will give trade in credit for phones if you want to move up, but the value is very, very low.

7. If diagnostics don't show an obvious problem, they are going to ask to wipe your phone to latest public iOS. They have macs there to help with the process if need be. This is a very popular step because a lot of weird software problems go away with a wipe. Sometimes they need to do this just to decide whether the phone needs a fix or a replacement.

I would expect as long as you're not doing anything that Apple wouldn't condone in terms of OS (ie: it's not jailbroken and you got 9.3b legitimately), you should probably be fine.

The Genius Bar process has always been pretty simple for me. But I couldn't tell you for certain about your situation because I've never been in that situation.

Yeah, I already sent them two e-mails and both times they said it's unavailable until they get stock, but unsure when they'll get it in. But they "forwarded" my message to the stock team.

How would their outsourced staff from India know though? They gave me bs answers about Funkos a few months ago and the order was cancelled after they assured me it will be in stock.
 
I think I will just wait until monday night, if they don't have it up by then I will just get it on PSN before the game releases so I will get the free theme.
