Does someone have history with VideoGamePlus when it comes to online orders? Are they reliable? Do they have a good Customer Service? Is it easy to cancel orders? And, do they charge you only when they ship like the others or is it on checkout?

I've never really had had a problem with VGP so I can't answer your questions about customer service, but I do know that preorders won't charge until shipping unless you use PayPal.

The only significant issue I've seen with VGP is that they had a security breach a few years ago and didn't do a whole lot to inform people of what happened. I have placed orders with them in the past that I've subsequently canceled without trouble, and I've also placed orders that shipped successfully without incident, so I wouldn't worry if you're not concerned about their security/don't save your payment information with them.

... my patience is starting to grow thin when games start to skip Canada for retail release.

Yeah, they had a big security breach with addresses and names of every customer released. Data wasn't encrypted.

So we'll never have a decent price for the i7 4790/4790K, will we? I'm running a Phenom II X4 965 BE and feel it's almost time I retired the chap, but I want to go Intel this time around and holy shit at the latest gen prices + mobos + DDR4 RAM. I'd rather hold on to my DDR3 but even last gen prices... Pls for a sale or a used one :(

Maybe I just haven't noticed but is Digimon World Cyber Sleuth getting any significant marketing push?

I'm guessing there is no marketing just to cut costs. Can't imagine it costed much to sub it and upscale to PS4, and since word-of-mouth is essentially free, not spending anything on marketing is probably their best chance at turning a profit for such a niche game.

Holy crap that Digimon game is out Tuesday apparently. I'm hoping that PSN messes up early and throws it on the store for like $50-60 for PS4 for like an hour

Just put an order for 2 copies of gravity rush Remastered on amazon.com,total was around 52$/copy canadian. However, if you sign up for prime trial, or ask a nice csr, you can get the 20% off pre order, brining the cost to 44 CAD$/copy, which is about the cost we would pay here with taxes. So if you have another gaf member nearby, try this!

Copy/pasting this from my post in the PC racing sims thread:

The Thrustmaster T3PA pedals are under $50 on both amazon.ca and thesource.ca right now. $48.98 on Amazon and $43.99 at the Source.

The cheapest they've ever been according to camelcamelcamel is $100.

Well damn, I never thought about doing it that way. Just cancelled my order, signed up for the Prime Trial, and re-ordered the game. Thanks knacklover!

... Just got to make sure I cancel the trial after I receive my package.

This is a good idea, but I don't think we should be rewarding Sony for this type of behaviour. If they can't be bothered to even release a physical copy in the country they don't deserve our money

Nope. Not at all. As expected for a REALLY niche title. Hell, there's even a new Neptunia game out on PS4 on Tuesday... Which apparently I pre-ordered off Amazon and just forgot about.

I wonder what's Sony excuse for no Gravity Rush RE PS4 physical when stuff like Neptunia and Digimon WSC are as niche as you can possibly get on PS4 but still get physical releases

Thank you for saving me $6 USD on my copy. Now I just have to remember to end the membership.

The Gravity Rush Remastered situation in Canada depresses me. I can't believe I'm going to have to import a North American title from the US, since Canada (despite being part of NA) won't be getting it (I'm not interested in the digital version). Normally it would only be a minor inconvenience, but not so with the current value of our dollar. I just hope this isn't a continuing trend...

So we didn't get the order 1886 premium edition, the high end uncharted 4 collectors and now this? I really think Kotaku or some website should do a news article on why Canada who is part of NA is getting mistreated like this.

I'm also pretty bummed about no canadian Gravity Rush. I held out as long as i could, but thankfully someone pre-ordered a copy for me from amazon.com...

It's too bad this has to be the case, digital just doesn't cut it for me, i want that box on my shelf.

So is there some reason that Canada isn't getting select games? It's been happening for a year or so now on occasion, there must be some sort of.....logic behind it.

Dollar in the tank is probably the main reason. Doubt customs or freight costs will be an issue.

Another possibility is a lot of retails may be shying away from selling all games and just pickup the big AAA and 1st party games and avoiding any little known or niche games.

I just pre-ordered Gravity Rush Remastered from Amazon.com. At least I'm getting a dynamic theme out of it, so that's something?

Still, incredibly frustrating I can't just order this somewhere in Canada.
