Correction: you unlock the ability to purchase the alts (with FiteMoney) by clearing the character's story mode.

So... wait

if they're not launching the store until March with the first DLC character, how will we buy stuff with FM in the meantime

edit: Costume Settings, huh?

You're not.

They're almost certainly going to tune the fight money numbers based on how things go.

no mention of lobbies...

I'm worried that you'll have to pick you character via your Favorite Character for everything. Real dumb way to go about it if true.

I posted this in the beta thread, but while I would love Guile to be the first DLC character because I miss him dearly, I kind of hope he's not. I relied on him too much in SFIV, and playing Nash in V has been so much fun and taught me a lot.

It's good because you get to skip the character select screen entirely.

VF5 did this, what, a decade ago? About time Capcom caught up. :P

I just wish the actual match loading screens would be sped up somehow.

first time playing SFV. managed to get to rank 2600 or so even though I only have like 1000 league points or whatever. Just playing Ryu and doing mediocre. A lot of my problems stem from not being able to deal with pressure. although i'm having a hard time at parrying anything that's not fireballs.

Quick, slightly off-topic question since it's being brought up in the beta thread: how well known was it that the PS4 version of this game suffers from a shadow dithering problem?

I only saw it for the first time during this beta because I missed all other rounds pretty much, but as soon as I actually played a match yesterday, I noticed it and had to look up what it was (as I at first thought my PS4 might be breaking down or something was wrong with my TV settings).

For those that don't see it but want to (at your own risk): pick Necalli and choose a stage with bright lighting like the New York or Waterfall ones. Now look at his body near where his dreads cast a shadow and you'll see tiny black dots/squares as if he is wearing those nearly invisible black tights around his body that add some slight distortion to everything. It is bothering me quite a bit and I've been wondering why multiple people (in the beta thread) seem to have been aware of it long enough that they no longer seem to be expecting a fix anymore (to help bring this version up to par with the dithering-less PC version).

Would it be too late to bring this up to Capcom and Sony? Have people tried already? I can't remember anyone mentioning it, at least not before someone asked about what it was in the beta thread.

I think shadow dithering is in USF4 for PS4 too, must be a PS4 hardware issue? Reminds me of the whole anisotropic filtering thing with PS4 remastered games. Someone should bring this issue up with Capcom asap because it looks awful...
