Leaderboards obviously should be reset. Other stuff is really inconsequential though. You'll get enough LP to buy 3 characters in like 2 hours with the offline stuff.

Here's a question I've been thinking about: Do you think Fang necessitated a system where chip damage couldn't kill, or did a system without chip damage death allowed a character like Fang?
It's entirely possible they could have kept chip death and made the poison not kill, but I wonder to what extent the two coincided.

I'm pretty sure that's been in all the betas.
Seriously, they've had to have known that was a thing, they acknowledged it like a year ago when they were first showing the game off. What the hell is going on with this game, how could they have not fixed something that basic in that much time?!
I think Ryu is slightly better but I'm not finding Ken to be nearly as bad as some people are making him out to be.

I really want to go online and play because everyone always says practicing against the CPU is bad but I have a feeling that everyone online rn is going to be mega good and I'm really shit lmao

I thought the same way with the beta and was in the same boat but I had a lot of fun and won a surprising amount of matches. I mean I lost a crap load too but the main thing is I had fun! LOL

I still think there's something more to the vskill, when he had just came out I was getting combos with it. Also I wasn't using the feign kick too much since it was a beta and there was a bunch of crazy playing people, but I still think it's vital to Ken play, I think he's supposed to be the trickster type, his backdash is too good for it to be otherwise.
We will see in the coming months

I bought the PC version on GMG with the -25% code after trying out the last beta. I sucked balls though, I think I managed to win 2 times out of 30+ matches. I didn't even know how to do EX moves. Hopefully I'll do better when I can practice in an actual training mode first

How hard do you want to work? I think we all can agree Ryu does great damage for how easy his combos are and is solid all over. His game plan is to still chuck fireballs, DP on jump ins, and apply a simple mixup on knockdowns.
Ken has to work a little harder as his buttons seem shorter to me? I feel his game plan is to weave in and out though and to bait others to throw with dash/run pressure which is not easy. Ken seems more fun to me, though.
at least capcom didn't nerf this.
Not sure where to post this so I'll give it a shot here. Is there any reason not to get PC version? Will running into cheaters online be more prevalent? What kind of server side checking do they have for that?

I went PS4 because I have one in the living room + my bedroom, so I can play alone and at parties, and I don't like having a wired PS4 controller to the PC so switching back and forth between XB1 and PS4 controller would mess up my muscle memory. Apart from that I really didn't mind which one I got, and as the PC one is cheaper on a lot of sites it was very tempting t may end up double dipping on PC though...
Looks like jello, I don't even get why people like it.
Based on my experience with sf4 over 3 years on both console and pc, no. In fact the most notable cheater toolassisted is on ps4.

I literally couldn't do anything because of the lag and Ryu had me stuck to the floor - every time I would get up they would sweep and I'd get knocked down again, with no way of getting out due to the lag. So this connection filter must not be working with this few players

I personally think he's good. Mobility and light tatsu are strong in footsies. Also Jebaily is streaming SFV with some dudes.
PC mods make great custom costumes theres always that. At least they did on SF4

Yeah, I found out afterwards. I just had a chance to test the beta to see if my PC could run it before I bought it, but didn't do any research about the mechanics beforehand. It's the first traditional fighting game I'll be playing, I'm used to playing Smash

Try setting it to the Level 3-5. That was Capcom's recommended setting for the last beta and things ran smoothly. Of course you're dealing with the servers pre-launch so who knows what they're doing with them till Tuesday.
I think it's Final Round, mid March.
