Practicing against the CPU is good for certain things, like learning opposing characters movesets and how best to defend and counterattack various attacks. It will give you a good sense of "what can this character do to me in these various situations." It's also good for practicing combos in real battle situations, getting a sense of attack ranges, and what moves are risky or safe (without having to formally study frame data).

It can't teach you anything about mind games, but depending on how new you are to the game, there may be lots to learn before you get to that.

It's important to keep in mind that playing the CPU can give you nasty habits that are hard to break. One of my friends was committed to CPU play with SF4, and would FADC whenever he could. Obviously humans aren't stupid enough to stand there and let you pull off a fullpowered one, so I'd throw his ass out of it everytime.

Got the amazon email after I had already cancelled my order.

I'm going with gamestop since they are doing 9PM release on Monday night.

There will be no M. Bisons with alt costumes for awhile.

The manufacturer fucked up big time sounds like

Curious if maybe there was a truck accident (there might be a pallet truck with thousands of copies spilt over in a ditch) or another challenge that's outta their control like the manufacturer facility damaged entire batches full of the product lol who knows

I can't imagine its a normal logistics issue, people ordered a long time ago lol
