So it's pretty clear they want people to pay for the season pass, no surprise. So that would be $90 for the same amount of content that probably should be in the $60 package. And while you can earn most of that content for free, you have to do some really un-fun things to do it. A lot.
The value of something is pretty relative. I'm sure plenty of people are content with how things are because that's all they cared about. But I'm pretty sure they are the minority. There's a lot of people blaming the consumer for dissatisfaction with the product. When this many people are upset, though, i think it's safe to say the product and the company who made it are at fault.
How can SF V and MK X both offer $60 worth of content? Even with SFV's revealed roadmap the two don't compare. The only thing SF V has over MK X is better gameplay, but that doesn't excuse the sorry package.
And please understand, I'm not talking about server problems. This game needed another 6 months, maybe even a year. This is corporate greed taking advantage of its fandom. They could have let USFIV ride another year on the circuit and at Evo, but they muscled out USFIV and rushed out SFV to kickstart a new revenue stream, knowing the fandom and brand-awareness would be enough to sell copies. I bought it, too. That hype train is power. I'm going to play, and I'm going to have fun. But I'm not satisfied and I'm not going to be an apologist. I like Street Fighter and unfortunately I'll have to settle.
