Why would you want compensation? When you ordered you ordered release day shipping which is not release day delivery.

Best Buy offers release day delivery. When they shipped my Smash bundle late I got $10 credit, figure it will be similar here.

Mine also updated to order received, hopefully it ships today.

really that technicality stuff is just dumb and in this case not even correct (and in general when a store says a date they mean the delivery date not when they will ship it best buy included) there is no reason to poor gas on people's frustrations, it's just in poor taste to do so. if you go to a preorder and click "when will I get it on a game" like mlb the show 16 you get

which clearly states that you should get it on release date and not have it shipped on release date.


either way not a big deal to me. just hope they ship in a box with some protection so it doesn't show up damaged. I am hearing bubble mailers for amazon orders.... ick :/

I preordered from Best Buy in November. I got the Delay to 3/14 email. I just got an email to update my payment method (Card was stolen in December and has since been replaced). Ive done that, and I'm now at "Preparing to Ship".

It seems like they are slowly getting units out there.

I am not an elite member or anything though.

this is the first time in a long time I haven't gotten my best buy order on release date by just choosing free shipping. Heck they have a better track record than amazon in the last 6 months for me who has missed the date by a day twice.

Bought the SE from BB on 11/12, got the email delay around midnight. I haven't touched it but it has since moved to "preparing your item for shipping" within the last hour. Hopefully it gets here soon. I don't have work today so I was looking forward to playing all day :/

Bubble mailers for Special Edition games is one of the main reasons I cut my ordering way back on Amazon. So so so so so many cardboard boxes banged up in Amazon bubble mailers.

aw man so there's like 12 ppl in line at Best Buy, the store opens and everyone jus urgently walks in aimlessly and confused, some to the games section, some to customer service,

so one of the employees is like "ah yallz lookin for Fire Emblem? we got it in front!" so everyone is walking to the front customer service desk... at this point so much for being 5th in line as the ppl are all mixed up now.

and then ppl asking "yallz got the Special Editions tho??!?!" when the rep is like "um yah hold on we're checking"

then they announce sorry, no SEs available, and you feel this collective sigh as a small cloud of ppl like 8 deep sadly walk away towards the exit.

Same here. Literally never had a game pre-order miss its release day delivery before. And they aren't even giving me a restock date. Just saying "we have no further information".

Sounds like Nintendo maybe didn't give them enough stock or something, but I pre-ordered this minutes after it went up on Amazon last November...figured I was safe but apparently not.
