Fire Emblem Fates Releases in NA Feb. 19th; $80 Special Edition Announced

I really hate that Nintendo releases games on Fridays.

If UPS doesn't deliver before 7, my package will be sitting outside behind a locked gate I can't get to all weekend.

looks like they're shipping out the earliest preorders now. I preordered Nov 12, FYI. I guess that apology email was sent out to everyone.

Anybody who ordered in-store pickup from eBay last night *not* gotten a cancellation email yet? I still haven't, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

I ordered last night, got my confirmation email that it was ready this morning for pickup at about 9:15 and it's now in my hands - worked like a charm

Got my cancelation notice.

Back to square one. My original preorder better fucking ship tomorrow.

For all of the hate GameStop gets - 9 times, out of ten - they are BY FAR the most reliable in terms of pre-orders and delivering the items.

Sure you pay more than BestBuy GCU or Amazon, but with GameStop, you'll actually get your product.

Welp as someone who wasn't able to secure one, I need to find a way to stop watching the thread. Kept thinking that some other means of buying would surface today.

Must Look Away!!

Just noticed that one Ebay flipper has sold 27 and has 5 more available. Fuck Nintendo for enabling that.

Man Amazon really fucked me on this. Going to try and resist buying the digital version until whenever these idiots ship me the SE.

Enjoy waiting until April only for your order to be cancelled. =P

Amazon and Nintendo fucked it up, I really wouldn't count on there being any more SE shipments. I've decided from now on to just order 2 copies of LE things I want from Nintendo since this seems to be a consistent issue with them.

Got my SE from amazon, shipped in a box and still managed to get dinged up thanks to no packing materials. Anyway, happy to have the game now.

This is really only true for Nintendo products, since they are so poor at supply chain management. For just about everything else Amazon and Best Buy are pretty good at getting stuff to you on time, although shipping conditions vary wildly from state to state.

It doesn't help either that Nintendo is pretty much the only company that releases new stuff on fridays, which screws with the supply chain for most retailers since all movies, games, CDs, etc come out on tuesdays.

But yeah if its Nintendo, you are better off going with Gamestop and better off doing in store orders.

This is the other problem with Amazon. Almost every single SE from them has come to me with dings and stuff. Amazon will offer you some $$ back if you talk to support. Do it. They need to pay for every single one until they decide to take shipping SE seriously.

Yeah, I literally walked into gamestop and pre-ordered it after it got announced. Then strolled right in today and picked it up. The whole transaction took 2 minutes.

Honestly wouldn't shock me at all if they just randomly cancel me in a few weeks.

And what I really don't understand is I saw on the Cheap Ass Gamer deals twitter than Amazon was accepting new orders for the SE today. It was back ordered a few weeks, but they were taking orders. So if they're apparently having stock issues for pre-orders placed months ago why exactly were they taking even more orders today? Makes no sense.

Yeah, I actually had ordered it from amazon and best buy, but cancelled my amazon once once bbuy put it up because they've been so good for most new games. In the future I'm just gonna order it from both until nintendo LEs stop seeing these issues.

I'm not sorry about my BB order. Picked mine up an hour ago, no problem. $64 with GCU.

Advice for smooth BB orders: (1) choose ship to store for pickup, and (2) NEVER make changes to an order except to cancel.

Except when you choose in-store pickup and the store decides to sell your pre-order before you get there (like they've done to me with Amiibo).

Yup it's a stupid practice, I hate it. If there is even one small delay you won't get your game until the following monday or tuesday from many retailers. FUCK that.

Yeah. They then changed it to "ships between 2-3 weeks". Lasted 20 minutes.

Lol, mine shipped from Best Buy just now. I got the March 14 email too.

I'll wager if these are rare to find in the wild that in 1 to 3 months they will be overstocked on shelves with stores begging customers to buy them.

It seems clear there have been massive miscommunication issues with Nintendo and various retailers on stock. Wouldn't be surprised if Amazon thought they were getting a ton of stock from Nintendo only for Nintendo to back out.

LOL everyone will probably do that and it'll make them even more difficult to order.

At the very least, there might be a second wave of availability when everyone cancels their second order after getting their first. Hopefully.

So my copy of Birthright was delivered today, but my Best Buy eBay order has been shipped out and will get here sometime next week. No way to start playing on birthright and then transfer the save to the SE cart, right? I'd have to start over?

Can't wait to get home and see a crushed box since my Amazon packages are always messed up. Usually with stuff like this I wouldn't care that much, but the cover of this is really nice. They did the same thing for my Skyward Sword SE, but the box was whatever and I got like 50% of my cost back from Amazon.

Yeah, something got massively fucked along the way. Whatever, I'll have to stop bitching and just accept this ain't coming.

Correct. Saves on physical copies are tied to the cart, so you would have to start over again (it's also the other reason aside from the added cost as to why buyers are advised not to buy both Birthright and Conquest physically, if going for the regular versions).

Hmm my card has not been charged yet through Amazon and it's supposed to ship today. I see people even with release day shipping are having problems I wonder if i should be worried. I dont have release day Mine is supposed to come next week.

Dummies at Best Buy placed the order pickup sticker on the box instead housing it in a security case, then placed the sticker.

Regardless, got mine.

That doesn't explain why Best Buy has shipped orders from eBay and yet PreOrders from the 12th haven't been updated. They are also shipping more today. It seems to me that in Best Buys case, it's at least partially on them.

It now reads "Status: Preparing your item for shipping". Awesome :).

Don't get too excited. Mines been like that for several hours and nothing more. I guess it's some progress, but at this point I'm not going to get excited until I have it in my hands.

Best Buy's stickers are the easiest of any to remove. There was one on my Smash 4 controller bundle and I removed it without any damage.

Amazon shipped my copy in a freaking ENVELOPE.

Yeah, I'm not happy. Fortunately the box is in good enough condition for me.

Also, I'm not surprised a lot of you guys are having issues with your Best Buy orders. They're awful and always have been with stuff like this. It took them a week after launch to ship me my New 3DS XL that I pre-ordered the minute they went live.
