Still "preparing your item for shipping"

Funny thing, that's the state my Mega Man 3DS collection has been in since last week.

I didn't even get the apology email. heh.

Ordered on eBay via Best Buy for in-store pick up yesterday at 10:43pm PT. Just received an email that my order is ready for pick up! Guess I'll swing by and grab it during my lunch. I'm debating whether or not I should even try to return and rebuy with GCU, since that will save me $10.

Just picked up mine at Best Buy - felt really bad because there were 2 guys in front of me freaking out that BB accidentally sold there CE copy. When the Best Buy employee suggested getting 2 copies of the vanilla game as a alternative, I thought I was going to witness a murder.

I quietly asked for my CE and ran for my car.

Usually that it will be shipped by the end of the day and should be expected around the arrival date it says.

Mine also updated to this with the estimated date the 27th. So it would be pretty much the same amount of time I would have waited before I got prime .

Listen. There is just as much of a chance of Instore pickup messing up as there is for Online ordering. Such as the poster I quoted above yours.

Best Buy is inconvenient and out of the way, and it's not a great store (employees don't seem very knowledgeable about things). I don't think getting things shipped is much less reliable, if any, but it's a lot more convenient.

I'm actually waiting to pick up a regular copy for just that reason. I'd rather just wait and see since it's not as if the regular copies are super limited. I'll probably stop by Gamestop on Sunday to see if any orders go unclaimed though.

That's why I arrive around opening just in case, since the POS won't let them sell it early, if I am there first I am guaranteed my pre-order or I can see whoever bought/sold mine if I arrive a minute or two after opening. Today worked out though(thankfully!) and there was like 6 or 7 pre-ordered in store, I saw.

Because Ive never had an issues for online and for every positive comment you hear about BB instore pickup there's about 20 negative experiences.

Glad it worked out for you but it definitely doesn't seem like it's the norm.

Mine just shipped from BB. I updated the shipping much later in the morning than most. 9:30am EST.

If my box comes here in good condition I may not open it, but if its crushed I'll open and play it. Wish they did Saturday shipping.

I guess i'm just salty because BB shipped my Xenoblade Chronicles X SE in a crappy envelope and it ended up damaging the box. I vowed to never have a SE shipped from BB again after that.

Because I've ran into issues with them not holding my preorder copy and selling it in store. Wasn't anything as limited as this, but never again.

Correct. Saves on physical copies are tied to the cart, so you would have to start over again (it's also the other reason aside from the added cost as to why buyers are advised not to buy both Birthright and Conquest physically, if going for the regular versions).

oh well. figured that was the case. i guess i'll just wait for the SE to come in next week and return my birthright copy to amazon.

assuming a UPS tracking # means it is actually shipping. The UPS tracking info just says that they've received the info from BB eBay, not that they actually have the item yet. I'd HOPE that BBebay wouldn't send out a tracking number without an actual item to deliver to UPS, but we'll see, lol.

I don't think the address change made much difference. Might have given you priority at best. Mine has been preparing for shipment for a couple hours now and my card is charged, but I never messed with changing the shipping to force it.
