I will tell you now, it's a tough matchup for Zangief.
Normally your V-Skill is great because you can absorb hits and fireballs and still keep you moving forward.
But because of that poison, it makes that tactic a lot harder since white health doesn't regenerate while in poison. Don't be afraid to get in close and use your fully charged St.HP or light SPD right after he's thrown a trap and you're close by.

Holy shit this Ken was annoying. He seriously kept jumping around all the damn time. I'm glad I sent his ass back to being a rookie while I turned into Super Bronze.

It's just a matter of FANG being super strong against Mika really. He's a zoner that can stay close as well and has strong escape options ( that ex escape thing is straight stupid )

Chun's b.HP is a good button to use as a meaty. First, its safe on block. Second if the opponent tried to press a button you'll get a crush counter, which you can then do HK legs for decent damage. If you have VTrigger you can get more off of it but just the HK Legs is decent and easy to pull off.

Game is godlike, but the online itself is frustrating me for a bunch of reasons.
First off, when asked for my region, I put in Peru (because that's where I am from, obviously). But I don't know if it's because of that or my router's IP but I'm only getting matches with people that are either from Peru, Brazil, Argentina or Chile. My internet speed is pretty good, so that shouldn't be happening. I feel like I've gotten locked out from getting matches with the rest of the world.
And my second gripe, and probably my biggest, is that it feels like the game doesn't care with whom it pairs you with on ranked matches. From the 10 fights I've had today, half of those have been against 3500 something LP players, and I'm definitely not 3500 something LP material yet, so it feels unrewarding to lose against them. For reference, I'm usually at around 1000 LP.
So yeah, great gameplay, but the online is all over the place. I definitely didn't have this experience in the betas. What makes me anxious is reading the tweet from SFVserver saying that "there aren't any more online issues" when it's clearly worse than the beta was. I only hope it gets better.

Random question, Can Nash hear in his right ear?
Of note is that they can use an armored moved to take through your attack, or an invincible move to go through it as well, so you should be careful even if they can't just hit you normally with a jab or something. You probably knew this though, just saying.
And like Miku said, some moves work better than others for meaties depending on the situation, so experiment as you like.

So first time trying normal survival, pick my main Chun. I get Bison down to 5% health and i had 60%, I get comboed and couldn't do EX SBK cause I panicked. Tried twice now and lost to him. Good times.

I'm struggling a little bit against all the characters that are either new or new to me just a little bit. Right now, I'm pretty free to people playing FANG, Laura, Mika or Karin.
I did figure Rashid out for the most part already, so that's something at least. Everybody else in the cast my Ultra knowledge is giving me something to go off of at least.
I haven't fought a single Nicalli I don't think. I'm surprised he's not more popular.

The worst part about losing ranked matches is the long wait for the next one, just sitting alone think about how you let it happen.
Do you know if Ryu/Ken's DPs are invincible on startup? These guys give me hell, if their shoryukens arent invincible on wakeup then that b.HP could be pretty good to bait it, get a crush counter into legs and CA...

the streak is over. against a rashid that spammed the wall jump missile kick thing, had no idea how to deal with it. im not bitching about the spamming, whatever works, I just had no idea how to deal with it, never seen a rashid before lol

Mobile rashid's fuck me up too, karin has absolutely no good anti-airs, even cr. HP gets beaten by jump ins.
Already didn't know poison blocked white health regen, so that's good to know.
Nash makes me a die a little bit on the inside every time I walk him to the corner and he teleports his way out.

Yes you can, just make a lounge, hit triangle on ps4 and click invite and enter their CFN ID

Something tells me it's going to be really laggy. I saw one bar. Lol but I've been lied to before.
You can set up a lounge and invite your friends by using their CFN. So yeah, its very easy to set it up
You look them up on CFN and add them to your favorite list. From there it's pretty straight forward.
