GGs DiscoShark. I had no idea how to handle your Bison at all.

Yeah his st.MK seemed to have been doing a lot to shut down your ground game and there was very little point to throwing fireballs at range so your main approach option at a certain point seemed to be stand at or around that range and jump at me. Jumping is dangerous.

Things to remember about Bison.
- His walk speed is really really really slow. So even if his normals do have a decent amount of range you can weave in and out of ranges where he'll hit or whiff you, use this to your advantage to counterpoke him (or toss a fireball at that range), something that I really didn't see you attempt to do much.

- His dash, while scary, is literally a free punish if I'm doing it at ranges where you can throw out a normal. Seriously, try it in training mode, hitting a Bison that's dashing forward is a free counter or potentially crush counter.

Well that explains that then lol. Will have to remember to n.jump then drop kick em in the face..... Of course then they will just DP me lol. Ah the fun of fighting games.

One of the weaknesses of Necalli's command throw is that it is 8 frames on startup, which is the slowest command throw in the game. Most of the time if they try and grab you with it on your wakeup and you neutral jump they aren't going to recover in time to anti-air you. If they use a normal throw attempt though (5 frames) they can.

Wow just lost twice, points gone.
Won twice "could not upload bla".

Same. I'm recording all the ragequitters. Hate my life right now. Went from 1300 to 800 by losing big points. Climbed back up to 1018 and now people are RQing. Sim is hard

The whole thing just pisses me off, ya know.

I'd rather face 10 partially competent AI in Survival on Normal than 25 Dumbfuck AI's followed by 5 Golden Gods of Bullshit.

I know that Capcom's obviously going to charge Fight Money for Colors, but this kinda bullshit, this Mobile Game, P2W trash, that they've injected the game with, makes me want to stop playing. It's obvious that Capcom thought this was a good idea since it's so hardwired into the game, but it brings the entire fucking product to its' knees.

People don't want an Online Only Street Fighter game. There's a reason why Microsoft did an Xbone 180. It's because it's a shitty premise and Street Fighter 5 basically proves every naysayer of Microsoft's "Utopia" correct. Yes, I know that years down the line people will still be able to play SF5 offline, and that goes against the concept of Online Only, but unless they completely scrap Fight Money, what does that get you? Stuff you unlock will be forever trapped behind a system (Fight Money) that no longer works. And because it's such a BIG part of how the game's designed, you're getting a hollowed out, husk of a product. I mean, it's a good core of a game there. But the rotting F2P shell is still gonna be there.

And that sucks. I want to play this game and unlock things. I want to enjoy it. But they've put up so many barriers that I kinda just want to go back down half the wall I climbed and take a taxi to another game.

I think you're overreacting.

It's in no way pay to win, or anything like that and I don't think they have attempted to create an online only, Street Fighter game. The game is perfectly playable offline, and I do not think it's bad, that they are trying to encourage online play, along side that.

I think it's silly that you can't earn fight money offline, and it's silly that the game always tries to connect online at startup, however I think the games fundamental mechanics offer a significant improvement on IV, little features like the absence of chip damage from specials, the addition of a v-skill, removal of the ultra meter and functional separation of your 'fadc' from your super meter (for many characters v-skill is the functional equivalent to an fadc button), constitute a more refined, and better designed game.

I don't really see how a bunch of arbitrary collectible elements undermine that so significantly, for you.

The reason you have to be online to get fight money is because fight money data can not be authenticated locally. If it could, then people could and would find means in which to manipulate their fight money values, stored within their local save data. That would be a problem, because fight money is tied to items of real, monetary value (DLC characters) and would thereby undermine the DLC distribution.

The alternative, if you wanted fight money to work offline, Capcom would have to prevent the DLC characters from being purchasable with fight money. Making them real purchases only. Given that alternative, I like the way it works now. When I'm offline, I'm happy to just play the game, either in local fights with friends, or practicing in training or survival, in these instances I do not worry too much about the fight money, and just enjoy the game.

Again chances are the rage quitters aren't quitters at all. Just had an error myself. I lost even!

Usually if the points data doesn't show at versus screen then I kinda expect a DC somewhere in the game.

Tested this out at a LAN center last night.
what in the fresh hell did they do to Karin?

I couldn't get any of her classic moves to go off. Maybe I just don't get SFV enough, getting bodied by some cheap Nash didn't help.

I don't think those are rage quitters, it happens after the match. A rage quit usually gives me a disconnect.

Getting my arse handed to me today. Obliteration. Far cry from the last few days and I don't know why.

My poke game has been pretty terrible, which is part of the problem, and I don't think I'm being aggressive enough. Starting to get hella frustrated.

Yeah I have lost games and it fail to load to servers. That just seems like server issues to me.

However I havnt had it ever say someone disconnected either.

Who are you playing?

Also, wanna upload a match so we can see what might be your issue?

I thought online and digital are the future....

Question regarding Karins Senha Resshu, in training she lands the end part (up kick ending in shoulder face smash) in versus she wont do the grab, just summersaults.

What can you do against Rashid's full screen eagle spike as Karin? Can't even neutral jump it, since it goes completely out of range then.

Karin, Birdie, Nash and Mika all got complete character reworks in this game. Watch some videos on her, it'll explain what's changed for her.

Until the netcode isn't shit, I have zero interest in ranked games now. Far too many games taken away because of horrible rollbacks, ragequits, and just not reporting the damn result

Blasphemy, Karin was 'I'd buy the game just for her' tier.

Birdie was one of my subs in SFA too, because I never saw him get used much, and I loved his tricks.

I think you're missing my point. I understand that Fight Money has to be online only to prevent abuse. HOWEVER, the problem lies in the fact that the Fight Money system is tied to every.single.unlock in the game. Not just characters. But Stages, Costumes, their Colors and even Titles. You know what this means?

It means that because Capcom wants you pay Money for the things they're also charging for, it means that every other thing in the game that can also be unlocked is going to be a complete, tiresome chore to get, so you get frustrated enough to the point where you use your Fight Money on them instead of on the stuff that costs money.

That is how mobile P2W design works. They break you down to the point where you either pay or quit.

I'll definitely try that out. Thanks !

It's too bad the servers didn't save those replays at all. Did you also notice that at some point during those matches, my CFN changed to Rissetto ? That was weird...

It grabs high. It's not that great practically, in my opinion. That whole special is kinda lame apart from getting in.

Been playing this since launch and I'm enjoying it a lot.
I feel like I'm doing decent with Ryu and Nash but I really need to practice with Zangief, M. Bison and FANG. Everyone else is fun too. I haven't had any online issues lately.

Eh?

Colors and Titles are gettable w/o FM :). And none of that except *maybe* characters are even close to Pay to Win. And even then..
