The woman whom the GOP has demonized as a "Hildebeast She-Bitch from Hell" for a quarter-century suddenly becomes "Madame President."
She has a narrow House majority for two years.
She has 55 Democratic Senators - and a Senate Majority leader who's willing to nuke the filibuster for all court positions.
She also has the ability to stack the Supreme Court so that it leans liberal for a generation.

This would be the GOP's apocalypse - their nightmare hell on earth.

He basically did a masterclass of the psychology behind Trump's mad genius speeches. How Trump is channeling Carson, Letterman, etc. with audience participation and ironic self-awareness ("We love the evangelicals!") and banter in a way the others aren't. How he's the only person in the entire race who can genuinely hit the nationalistic idea that he's running for the country and not for himself/the government. How he is the spoiler in that he can be the guy who defends the 2nd Amendment, have a hardline stance on immigration, yet still credibly be anti-war the way he has. Basically he's a shapeshifting wizard.

The stupidest thing about our politicians is that they can never say "I fucked up" or "I got beat". Hell, you'd be lucky to hear a "I was wrong" from them at all. That much is cross party lines for the most part. Obama's pretty refreshing in that regard, but even he avoids saying he messed up anywhere specifically. But Cruz is the slimiest of them all.
