Wouldn't be you if you weren't!

I haven't heard of purple cow in years. Wow, that brings me back to my childhood.

I'm doing quite well tonight. Knee healed up from the other day and in general I feel in great health. Sky is clear and comfortable while I walk and listen to my Lord of the Rings audiobook. Turned a corner on a couple different personal projects so I'm working on fresh stuff now (or will be once I get back from my walk). I got a lot done at work today and found a way to get some work done five times as fast as I had previously thought, which in turn means tomorrow's load will be light.

That's good to hear. Sounds like things are going well for you. Also, glad your knee is doing better!

Haha, was not meant as an insult. :P

Five times faster? Impressive.

I stayed with this gif out of curiosity and I laughed more than I probably should have at the end

same here :)

Also the humans vs robots gif is hilarious. I like your taste in gifs, Jobbs!

So I'm in screenprinting, shirts and tote bags and whatnot. A lot of clients prefer to have the label printed onto the back neck area rather than sewn in, especially since they're probably getting the label of American Aparrel, Gildan, Bella Canvas, or whomever the blanks are purchased from.

Most of the time these labels get manually printed. We have an automatic printer that can be used for back neck labels, but setting it up is a lot more difficult than the manual one for lots of reasons. We don't have enough spare screens the right size, the machine has to warm up, it takes a lot of time to swap out the screen (which needs to be changed every time you move to a new size of new design), et cetera. So generally it doesn't save time even though it comes out to about six seconds per shirt (or 3.5s per shirt if two people work it) instead of thirty to forty seconds per shirt on the manual printing machine, we just stick to the latter.

Because of that, my boss forgot that one of today's orders (~500 pcs) was from a client that we already are prepared to use the automatic machine on. I almost forgot too because I hadn't been instructed to use the rapid machine and Ibecause I had just used the manual one for something earlier in the day. Then I found the screens for the other machine and quickly changed plans. So it came to a little under an hour instead of something I'd be spending half of tomorrow finishing.

So your Hooters ad would be pictured from shoulders down? :P

I'm more into midriffs and clavicles. And elbows. The head is another good part. I like when they have half their head shaved real short so you can see what their hair looks like, but you can also see their head. That way when you're making out you can either run you hand through the hair or just run it over their head-stubble.

Life's too short to just be into boobs.

I said I like boobs. I didn't say I only like boobs.

Can anyone explain to an old person what "damn daniel" is?
Hadn't even heard of it until now. It's not even the least bit funny.

I like where your head's at

I'm in a real George Duke mood today for some reason
Don't think I've heard this before. Sounds f'n great.

Here's some more old school.

Syl Johnson - I'm Talkin' 'Bout Freedom

Everyone could use a little Tanya Stephens in their life.

Its a pity
I like that too.

Sister Nancy - Bam Bam

There was this really hot girl walking down the street in a bikini in front of me today and I had to look away to preserve her dignity.

Three skater chicks who looked around 16 years old were giving me and my workmate the eye the other day, I didn't know how to feel about that.

16 is legal in Australia, right? Depending on how old you are, I would've said its fair game to go and talk to them.

Was it a seashell bikini?

Floral I think?

She was really tan, so I think she might have been a backpacker because it was in a touristy area and there's always tons of backpackers around.

I'm 38 today mate, ie old enough to be their father.

Right, just checking you weren't looking away because she rocked it better than you.

Age of consent is either 16 or 17 where I am but I'd never mess with anyone that young. I can't even imagine the scenario.

Creepy guy sitting outside of a high school. That's the only scenario I can envision.

And aside from being creepy depending on the age gap, I don't think someone in say their mid 20s or higher will have ANYTHING in common with an annoying teenager.

mid 20s or higher is the best. anything younger is a mistake and nothing but trash.

I'm just thankful Facebook, Twitter, etc. weren't things while I was a teen. I can't imagine the level of cringe while looking back on posts when older. Teens today will be experiencing that quite a bit in the years ahead.

I deleted my first facebook account content. The cringe was real. (worse than the cringe going now)

Cheers mate, but yeah, at 38 its just another day.

Well, and an excuse to have cake in the office.

Happy birthday, dude!

My Facebook remains as it was created (back in 2007-2008ish). But I haven't particularly changed all that much in this time. The juicy stuff that I gleefully buried were the Livejournal entries I made from 2001-2008. Now those will never see the light of day again. They describe with devastating detail and rawness my reactions to losing pretty much everything good in my life when I was in my early 20s. I can't read them again. I tried. It hurts too much.
