My eyes are swelling a bit and my face too, I refused medical attention because I dont have health insurance. I'm still alive thats all that matters.
This made me even angrier than the original post, somehow. What happened to you was horrible, but you can't even count on the system for the most basic of help because of that awful healthcare system.
I hope you get better soon anyway.
Is there a reason you, an eastern european, are not practicing eastern european arts and weaponry? Why did you not learn the short sword for example.
Huh.... Should non-Asian folks stick to boxing and other western martial arts too?
What I wanted? All I want is to make sure that people know that carrying bladed weapons outside as a 'deterrant' is a fool's errand.
Sure, except he specifically pointed out that they were
not blades, but wooden swords. Basically the equivalent of carrying a hockey or baseball bat. Of course, any dude carrying his baseball bat for practice claiming he's safe from mugging because of it is probably pretty foolish too, but yeah.
Wait is iaido that quickdraw thingy?
Yes. Though, somewhat ironically, it is normally practiced with a iaito (a live, but unsharpened, sword), not a bokken...
So you're saying deaf people can't be superhero vigilantees?
*taking notes*
*sigh* Why are you being a bigger ass than he is? Considering he's a dude who victim-blames and keeps talking about his hobby in an unrelated thread and he really, really should STFU, that's pretty far on the being-an-ass scale.
Practices daily. I just imagine those neckbeards I saw in college with their wooden swords and shields in the open fields also thought they were practicing their "art".
...Nevermind, marrec, I take it back. Or well I'll chalk that up to ignorance. I don't practice iaido, but it's a legitimate and well-respected martial art. Of course, even legitimate and well-respected martial arts have their immature tryhards, but that's no reason to mock the arts themselves and everyone else who practice them.
