To be honest, and not to hurt anybody's feelings, I think there's a non-zero chance he drops out tonight. 37 points is a pretty stiff loss for him to weather and still be confident that the later primaries are going to go enough better for him to get ahead.

But since Super Tuesday is literally in four days, I'd probably stay in if I were him, because yolo, so I don't really expect him to quit yet.
Money's going to be what drives him out. Wallets aren't going to be opening anymore.

He expected to lose by a significant margin tonight, there is a zero percent chance he drops out

This is a big upset in the black community, honestly. The gap was kinda narrowing for a while in January/early February as Morning Joe was going in every day on Hillary. Winning the black vote by 68 points is game over in a Democratic primary. Bernie has to do a better job there.

There is literally zero chance he drops out tonight, c'mon son

So, will he concede on Wed or do we have to keep watching him compete in Super white States for the next month?

Mark Ruffalo on Bill Maher last night trashed the EIC of Cosmopolitan and said Bernie will be in until September so I dunno.

I think there's more than literally zero! That's like the point of my post!

He expected to lose, but +37 is actually way worse than any polling was predicting. Unknown factors broke tonight and they broke hard away from Sanders.

There was the Clemson poll that said Clinton +50

You saying this is as ridiculous as someone claiming Hillary would drop out after NH

Bernie is my dude, but hey, if he drops out or straight loses, I'm on the Hilldawg train. I think most Bernie Bros, as much as we don't even necessarily like Hillary, are still going to stick with her over a Republican or not voting at all.

The best way you can honor Bernie is by voting for Hillary in the GE. Please :)

^ this

I voted for Bernie in Georgia early voting last week, but we've got to remember what this is all about. Maybe you don't get the level of progressivism you want, but you get the better option in the general election.

Black vote

The gap was trending narrower over the last two months. 84-16 HRC is a WAY bigger margin than I think anyone was expecting.

If we had solid polling data saying that Bernie would dominate the next dozen or so primaries after New Hampshire, sure.

He should stay in until Clinton has a majority of delegates. There is a distant chance a scandal could rock her campaign. What does he lose by staying in?

probably some trolling, but I enjoyed it:

I'm out guys. I can't take getting my heart broken anymore. I've fucking gone hungry for Bernie because I donate 50% of my paycheck every 2 weeks. My kid goes without and my wife is pissed because I turn the heat off to save money so I can make the donation every two weeks. (BBBut you don't have a history on this sub talking about your donations!) Well fuck you too because some of us don't have to pat ourselves on the back when we donate and volunteer. Some of us grind it out quietly. But we're here.

I believed in Bernie. I bled for Bernie. My family has sacrificed for Bernie and still nothing. I can't deal with this anymore. I'm literally shaking from the anger and the sadness. Fuck this. Fuck you South Carolina voters! Where was the black vote?!!? Fuck you for not showing up!!

Wow, first real numbers show her at 87.5%. I just don't get it.

If she dominates him even close to that extent then it's over.

It never started. He was a protest vote to move the party left that fell into a weird delusion that he might win.

Also, the longer he stays in, the more people register as Democrats and the party can contact and turn them out later.

Bern out the stage, Bern out the lights...

Yeah he wouldn't leave before The Super Tuesday officially. There's no reason to and he's already started campaigning in those states. That said he probably will start tempering his rhetoric should the map look this bad next week. He might hang on until the 15th, I think his fans would be too shocked should he drop out before as most of them don't seem to really understand how bad his math really is looking at this stage.

Nothing for him, but if he's serious about wanting a Democrat to beat Trump then it would save Hillary money and give her time to campaign for the general if he bows out sooner.

As it is, this is a good lesson for us on the socialist side. We've tested the waters and seen how far a self-proclaimed socialist can get, now we have to address the concerns of people who weren't ready to jump in. There's work to be done.

Lol. Basically. I stand by that Bernie running, did this country some good. Might not payoff for a decade or more, but a lot of people have been informed on how other top countries are doing things and how far behind America is socially, in some ways.
